somone told me this weekend that if you were to take cissors and clip the tips off of the leaves that it produces more thc do to the plant trying to protect it self( as if a animal or insect was attacking it) is this a true statment or completely false ?

false... completely false.. in fact it will stress your plant out which can lead to a smaller yield... and your plant will waste energy trying to fix them... and it can also slow your growth down (from the stress)...

SS420 is spot on. Leave your ladies be. They know what to do.

The next time you see that particular Weed Baron, ask him about his current grow. Then ask him what his yield was from his last grow. Ask him how long he's been growing. Ask him how many watts he's running.

The answers, his immediate reaction as he squirms visibly, will amuse you. Sharpshoot some specific questions to that 'expert' and watch him wither before your eyes. It's fun.

Good luck and good growing.

As I understand it, trichomes are produced by the plant as it's form of sunblock, to protect it from uvb, not to deter or protect itself from predators, so the theory doesn't stand up.
If you wanna increase resin production, put a uvb light in your flowering room, but only run it for 3-4 hours in the middle of the light cycle, to simulate the more intense midday sun the plants would receive naturally.
