I agree utter bullshit to the report. Several I know took and removed all incandescent bulbs in their house and replaced them with CFL's. The offset of their electricity consumption was that roughly equal to two 600 watt basalts. The other problem is it doesn't say anything about how much CO2 the plant itself eats during it's growth cycle. Outdoor hemp and marijuana fields could consume massive amounts of CO2 reducing the overall national carbon footprint. Couple that with hemp oil based products replacing petroleum if legalization were to occur there would be mass creation of jobs as well as a reduction on emissions from the processing of petroleum for plastics, fibers, etc. This ass-hat is targeting aspects of it to get his name in the paper; this kind of jerk is why academics get a bad name.
