Is it possible to grow in your window, I'm not looking for it to get the best quality, just as a hobby?

Thanks in advance!

i've had my plants on my windowpane until they got big, so i transfered them to bigger pots and on to the porch.
if the window get light they will grow.

Thanks for that information man! - are there any certain strain that will grow better this way?

Alittle more information, my windows are big, over one meter in height, and nothing is blocking the sun, so they should get plenty of light, I'm going to wait to do this till later this year, so that the skies will loosen up.

depends on where you live.. check out when the days become 12/12 (shorter days, fall/winter)
a good 2 months before that is a good time to start planting.

search for outdoor strains, on google or on RIU..

lmao i have 3 4' plants by my window, half the neighbourhood can see them, no biggie
I wouldn't go with outdoor strains. Those get over 8 ft on average. I would look to the auto flowers. Small, compact, and not dependent on photo cycle.

As for letting half of neighborhood see, not sure that's the best way to go, but to each his own. Good luck.

i fucked up i meant i got 3 2' plants. and you cant really distinguishe what it is unless u walkup to my backyard and really observe it. i harvested 2 last night, and the last one is the one im making seeds with. ill post pics its not bad for a winter windowsill grow. just stretchy due to lack of a good light source. these pics prove it can be done.

Don't underestimate nosy neighbors, thieves, and cops. There is a window film you can buy form home depot that let's in enough sunlight to grow but blocks it visually. Used in greenhouses. It's worth the investment, but like I said, to each his own. G ooh luck, keep it green!

It would be worth it to look into cfl's or t-5 lights. Better yield, no dependency on photo cycle, and low power and heat. Not bad for a winter window grow, but still pretty light and airy. But healthy, you did a good job on taking care of them.

yeh i got some of that stuff. its like window insulation type shit right?? like that clear plastic??

im not to worried tho, not the first time i did it, even if i get caught i get a slap on the wrist and a small fine.

if the plastic wont fuck up the light getting to the plant ill put it up just to avoid future hassle.
