Growing in a 1979 32ft trailer? +rep for info

I was curious to how much power a 34ft trailer. I dont no much about electric but all the outlets work and its capable of maintaining power as I live in it. I run a heavy duty extension cord from my trailer to the source. Its a legit cord ment for handling higher amps and its a 150volt cord maybe lol.
I want to set up a little grow room in the bathroom. Plan on running with a 400w HP (600 if it wont blow a fuse), 6in vortex fan, 4bulb 2ft T5, 6in inline fan, and maybe a couple smaller house fans..
I plan on running this the hps only 12 hours a day most likely during the night when I am asleep and electrical usage is low ( only really have my tv or computer on ) and the t5 for 18 hours and possibly the fans on a timer set for 30mins on 10 mins off during the day time when the HPS is off.
Any advise from experienced electricians would be appreciated

if your in a unfriendly state, your better running it during the day.... too much heat for the choppers to pick up, if not run when the hell u want.

The cords that power RV's and boats from shore power are either 20 amp or 30 amp with twist lock plugs. If the plug is an edison style (like a household plug), it wouldn't be the safest thing in the world. The draw of the grow op you've detailed will be a bit over 10 amps. Depending on what loads you have in the trailer, you should be ok IF the cord is a 30 amp twist lock. Your refer in the trailer will be your biggest load. I wouldn't be turning on the microwave when the bloom room is lit up. If you have an electric stove, forget it. If you run an air conditioner, forget it.

I'll give you a simple test. If you, or a friend, have a worm drive skillsaw, plug it in to the trailer and pull the trigger. They draw about 15 amps. If everything holds, you should be good from a circuit point of view. If ther's a circuit for an air conditioner, that would be the one to use. But, if the cord or the plugs aren't up to par, the heat generated by long term loads could cause some problems.

Sorry if I'm vague. Without actually being there to look at the whole settup, it's hard to just give a GO or NO GO opinion.

Good luck, and be careful.

If you have twist lock plugs, take a pic of the plug and I can tell you if it's a 20amp or 30amp plug. The cord should be 10 ga.

The cord is definitly not standard. its a 110-125v plug so the prongs that plug into it wouldnt even fit a standard house plug. I do not have a electric saw like that to run, but i have ran a kirby vacuum and a shop vac in here and no problems. Like I said the hps (400w) will be running at night but again during the day for the couple hours i am home, I am only really using my tv+ps3+Imac computer which is on sleep most of the time. I guess the only thing I can do is try, its just going to suck if I get all the stuff and it doesnt work out.

Some older trailers had aluminum wiring instead of copper. The aluminum wiring heats up easily and can cause a fire. Check it prior to putting a heavy load on the curcuits.

Just remove a receptacle and look at the wires. If it's copper looking then it's copper, if it's silver it's probably aluminum.

That's great about the cord. Sounds like you have the real deal. A 400 watt light only draws 4 amps. I'm sure you'll be fine. Put in the 400 and see if you can run the vacuum while the 400 is lit. If you can, get the T-5, too. This way you won't spend $$$ on stuff you can't use. I'm willing to bet you can run both lights and the necessary fans with no problem. Fucking trailer grow...how cool is that!

hahahaha ya fucking right bro those things blow im HID all the fucking way. im just saying that my friend had one and it worked ok for veg. i said in another thread how i believe that you get what you put in and some shitty 150w Led panel or w/e can never keep up with even a 600w HID let alone a 1000w. i run a couple medical grows just like you and we run 20k watts in all our locations you won't find an LED in my rooms :) don't get that shit twisted

so far got my 400MH and 6in vortex fan running, going to let it run for an hour to see if anything shorts before I go and buy the rest of the stuff. Hopefully i can start turning it into a legit grow room by this monday. Ill post pics when its ready. thanks for the tips and advise.
