Growing huge during germanation ?

Ok this is more of a story
So a good friend of mine brings me a seed of some dank bud before christmas he asked me to germinate them so i used the cup of water till sinks then in damp papertowel in a bag technique will after i put it in the bag i out it in my closet then we got super blazed and forgot about it well i wanna say around 2 weeks later i find it an the root is huge!! I mean like monster big i call him up and he says leave it in there for another week lets see what happends so i do and it grew more and even turned slightly green and popped off the shell but then started to dry up and die but the root was long as fuck it started to grow through the paper towel and looped throught it many times

Has any one ever expirenced anything like this before ?

(the seed dryed up and dyed by the end of the last week tho)

If you do not plant the seed the day it germinates than that will happen. If the root grows so long you cannot plant is like you need to do.

Sounds like you wasted some very hardy genetics there. Any seed that can germinate and develop within an entirely enclosed space without oxygen and light, and still manage to try and develop the means of photosynthesis is pretty hardcore to my eyes. And you killed her!

Yeah i realized that after it died haha well it was december and neither of us had the expirence or equiptment to keep the plant alive for indoor grow it would have died eventually

Good lesson learned then. Get a pot ready next time and grow some green!
