Yeah I've read on here people doing it on just was double checking. Cuz some peoples say I can't cuz you'll have lots of herms and some people say you can with no problems.

yeah, it does herm a fem plant but it naturally contains only female genes, so that plant pollinates a female and all the seeds are fem. but the catch is, you cant smoke the plant you spray, you will literally turn blue.

your best bet to avoid hermaphroditic tendencies, which will fuck up your buds and give anyone (like myself) with pollen sensitivities massive head aches and a really shitty high, is to find a true female. You may not be able to do this because you probably only have a limited stock of seeds but I would like to explain anyway.

To find a true female, it takes some time. Grow out a lot of your seeds. put them under 12/12 whenever you feel you want to, sooner the better i'd say because this is a longer process. once they are into 12/12 for 2 weeks, or at least showing flowers for a week, turn the lights on for 24 hours, then back to 12/12 for a few days, then back to 24 hours for a day, then back to 12/12 for a few days, etc.. stress them the fuck out until they start producing male flowers (this is where you can be lazy and collect your hermied seeds, which is not recommended).

Keep this light stress process out until you find a female that does not hermie. This is your true female.

A true female is the one you want for breeding if your looking to have a strain that does not hermie easily; you still have male genetics that may offer hermie traits but you gotta keep your fingers crossed and hope they will turn out recessive.

Anyways, take your true female, spray it with your colloidal silver until you have a branch turned male and pollenate it with itself and you will have female seeds worthy of growing out that wont hermie. This is the process which as I understand it, reputable breeders use so they have a product worthy of distribution. It is the only way to properly clone a plant through seed. If you breed with hermies, all your ever gunna have is fucking hermies.

Have I ever tried this? No.

I sourced this info from the Cannibis Breeders Bible by Greg Green, though it was not his discovery either.

I personally go with Sodium ThioSulphate(STS). Also as alternative I hermed a female with Giberellic Acid(GA3). Your call what to chose. After chosing, you decide where to apply. I sometimes take couple cuttings of a plant before flipping to flower, root those cuttings, use one as a seed carrier, other I convert to male with STS. If you have time to veg, you can do one cutting, top it for two tops, alter sex on one branch and keep fem flowers on another. There are many ways to skin this cat, choose one that fits your properties i.e. grow space, veg/flower time, how fast you want those seeds to be ready, how many of them you want to harvest etc etc. Good luck, it's not that difficult and is surely fun ;)
