Hi I'm looking to move to LED growing for my next run in a 120cm x 120cm x 240cm tent i was wondering whats the best size light for this space in veg & bloom i don't mind paying a premium price as long as its a quality system. Àny help would be appreciated i have looked on the net a lot but still can't get to grips with whats good or not in LED lighting systems.
Thanks

Thanks evergreengardener, i will have a look at these later also I was not saying the light has to be pricey I was just saying that if it is a quality system with quality parts then I don't mind spending a little bit extra plus at these prices I would expect a decent system that will last and have a 5yr guarantee and have a good reputation.

I have been looking at this if anyone thinks its over priced let me know thanks

It's over priced and it's way too big for a 4x4 tent, it's designed for a 5x5 tent, you will struggle to fit it in a 4x4 space, the only thing good about it is, that it has a IP66 rating, but, unless you plan on squirting water at your lights then I wouldn't buy it, in my opinion, this is the best light on the market for a 4x4 (1.2m by 1.2m) setup https://lumatek-lighting.com/zeus-465w-pro-29/ Oh and don't worry about the fact that it's only 465 watts, it's designed like that to save energy, it equivalent to 800watts of HPS light which is perfect for your setup :bigjoint:

I had a look at this it is a nice light with some really nice features and add ons and no i don't think I will be spraying water on a £700 light even just to see if it is waterproof that would be dumb :p:p thanks for the info its appreciated buddybongsmilie

Lights are a investment. Buy once cry once.
I got a buddy that laughed at what I spent to switch over to COBs. He has 5 cheap blurple leds in his 5x5. Fighting heat issues and everyone of the lights has burnt out diodes.

IMO if you want cheap. Stick with HID lighting.

I’m going w the Mars sp3000 in an oversized 2x4.
With the plans to get 3 more if they live up to the par maps, to fill up a 4x8.

Coming from burple and cmh mixed.
It’s nice to see clearly now.

Timber lights are tough to beat….I’ve seen some sick grows under Timbers. I recently got back into growing….I had grown a bunch outdoors but knew nada about the inside grow.
After some advice and research I settled on the HLG 320 Xl. It’s a great light and has produced some incredibly rock hard dense buds…..no matter how hard I tried I just couldn’t screw it up. They may be a tad pricey but HLG and Timber would be on my short list.

The Gavita also needs a controller for dimming which in a 4x4 you would need. Also if you aren't going to run C02 look elsewhere. 450 to 600 watts in a 4x4 tent with the ability to dim would suit you best. Good luck deciding where to spend the money!
