growers concern

Hey guys its starting to get cold outside and i was wondering how much longer you think my baby's got till harvest. I'm just looking for someone to tell me how many weeks left or when i should harvest them if there's not enough time. If you need more pictures let me know. I would really appreciate it.

Thanks

Use a magnifying glass and the chart above. You want mostly cloudy with some amber. I never grew outside so I am not sure how they ripen out there.
Maybe somebody else can answer this: Does the chill outside speed up the plant in anyway or does the plant always take X days to mature fully?
If the later is true then I would wait till frost was gonna kill it before I cut it.

If its as cold as here now in the morning you have too long to go, or you will start to kill the plants.

You can go by the trics like fry suggested ,

I let my outdoor plants go till first frost then i harvest ,

Harvest is growers preference , what type of high your wanting , which where going by trichome color comes in handy

Imo I would not let them go past first frost since the frost can kill em

Thanks guys ill take a look as you guys suggested. Another question. Is it always necessary to hang the harvest. Ive heard to just throw them in a jar and wait a couple of weeks. I would like to try and get them to be soft and not dry on the outside so when you grind it up its dense.

Who told you just to through em in jars ?

Hang and let dry to were the stem is still a little bendy but the bud is dry enough to stay lit in a joint , then i throw em in jars to cure

Here read through this my man

The first pic has a long way to go. Maybe 4 to 5 weeks. The second pic maybe 2 to 3. If you can cover them at night, I would wait.

Man, they look ready. If you have a USB microscope and could upload a few snapshots of that, I could be a little more certain. They look amber enough though.

Thes are not ready! At least another week if not more. It wont kill you to cut em down now but it will be a disapointment from the smoke stand point. Try to wait till you have more like a 90/10 mix of red/white hairs. 30x Scope is the best way. but if you dont have one then go by the hairs.
