Grow tents and IR

whatsup people of rollitup i was hoping some of you would be able to help me with a question or two. I've had 2 successful grows and I plan on upgrading to a 4'x4' grow tent in about a month or so in a spare room with a 1000w light setup. the light hood will be air cooled with a 6'' 400cfm inline fan and ill have another fan (same one) with a carbon filter for exhaust. my question is should i be worried about IR? i know FLIR cameras cant see through walls and crap and all those myths but im still a little skeptical because im assuming 1000w puts off quite a beat of heat and i would have no problem buying a roll of IR block. all insight appreciated

Strap some bed mattresses to your ceiling above the grow tent if you are worried. Thats what meth-ops do with upscale operations to try to avoid heat sensors.

sounds good thanks! but i dont have that many extra mattresses laying around haha also my question was should i be worried.. do you think the air cooled 1000w will give off a lot of heat/IR signature from inside the grow tent or should i even sweat it?

Unless you have mattresses tied/taped what ever to the ceiling

Haha I swear it's true. My uncle bought an old soda bottling plant that was in a police repo auction (Were not allowed inside before purchase). After he won the auction, and paid the bill he received the keys to the interior of the building only to find like 30 mattress still strapped to the ceiling. Turns out it was a 'large' scale lab, and sure enough the police advised him that they have seen mattress used to block heat sensors in planes/heli's looking for these specific types of chemical temps. If you think about it most beds I can think of absorb body heat, so it does make sense to use them as a buffer between the heat and outer-space.

But on a mmj side, doubtful you need to worry about FLIR cams.
