Let me start by first saying that i am a new grower and this is my first grow. I am starting this grow journal a little late. My babies are 4 weeks old now from seed in 1 gallon bags. They are going to be transplanted to 3 gallon bags tonight.

they are a little stunted and a little light green. i have posted in the sick plant forum ( https://www.rollitup.org/marijuana-plant-problems/265453-new-grower-la-woman-la.html#post3330587 )

the plants are : sour cream, la woman, la confidential, blue mystic, and chocolope. all started from seed and all are feminized seeds.

I plan on cloning the la woman or a couple of them and getting as much as i can out of my space. ( i might need another light or add some cfls)

I am growing in a 4 x 4 x 6.5ft tall tent. 400watt mh/hps light. i have a 449 cfm fan exhausting outside my door. A semi small fan on low sucking cold air in from the outside(its on low b/c it gets pretty cold at night now) i have a small air purifier/ionizer in there blowing some air around.

right now i only have this room. i have a closet but i shorted my 150$ T5 setup. so i am not sure whether i should get more lights for clones in the closet and start flowering asap after clones been cut, or do all the vegging/cloning in the tent, and than flower all at once. i might have left some stuff out. if i did just ask. i will be checking this post alot and updating for people who are interested.
im broke as hell all my money went into this tent and i need some buddah...:-( thats why i am thinking of cloning in the closet to start 12 12 asap in the tent but idk i think to much and change my mind to much. i am very open to suggestions and or concerns and wont get affended...im gunna log on tonight to see wuts up after i find me some more buddah. thanks for the interest and smoke on fellas:sad:

i think i figured my problems. i had my light to close and i could be over nutting so i am going to stop nutes for about a week, week and a half. i am also using ocean forest soil.

nah doesnt look like your light is too close bro! prolly over nute or maybe a def but i wouldnt do anything because they look good! overall health of the plants is great so leave em be!

i raised the light a bit and i think that was the problem with the leaf. only the top ones were like that and im going to just use water with superthrive for the next week or week and a half

if it was heat burn it would be curled and dry which from what i seen these plants dont show.

i raised the light and withing hours they perked up. they are looking real nice im going to put up more pics. anyone ever use that advanced nutrient that gets makes the plant use "180%" light more efficently?? any "super" nutrients i should invest in? besides my 3 part nutes. i am considering trying a sog or scog. not sure if i can tackle it but i want to get the most yield out of my space and im only using a 400w for now.

sour cream

blue mystic

la confidential

chocolope

all of them... i think i need to raise the light a lil more..theyre still not as perky as i would like...the one all the way on the right is the la woman which ive heard a lot of good things about.

has anybody ever used that chlorophyll "180%" more usable light nutrient from advanced nutrients? would anyone suggest getting some of those super/more expensive nutrient additives?

I just transplanted the la woman. noticed some brown powdery stuff. not sure if thats root rot. it looks like brown powder. i have a couple fungus gnats, not a lot. sorry for the bad quality

heres an overall pic. the la woman is in the 7 gallon pot (closest plant).

o and btw the bigger ones are about 4 weeks into veg from seed now

I know a guy who uses it and swears by it.. he has a setup with a 400 watt light.. and mist's the leaves with that stuff and they absorb up to around supposibly 40% more light.. he always is into the best stuff so I am sure it is effective.. I might try it as well..

i just FIMmed the la con and the chocolope...waiting for the results to see if i should do it to the others. worst case i can turn them into mothers. i dont want them to take up all my space. i just got 2 4 foot floro ballasts. 1 warm 1 cool in each going to add it to the tent until flower than im going to move them into my closet for the mothers.

will add pics later tonight when the light goes back on.. Im real interested in replies

blue mystic

the sour cream is real real bushy and aggressive. im worried its going to take over my garden. so i am going to keep it in the 1 gallon bag for about another week or so.

chocolope-its about 2 weeks behind the bigger ones - FIMmed 24hrs ago

la confidential-FIMmed 24hrs ago

so i added 2 2 liter bottles of co2 maker, with the yeast and sugar. i unfortunately dont have aquarium hoses to direct the co2 over the top of the plants. but, the whole tent stink of co2 so im assuming its everywhere(but doesnt it weigh more than air) so idk. i prob will try to get some of that hose.

Good looking journal. How long you plan on vegging for?I'm gonna stick around.I'm a fan of DNA Genetics.Check my journal when you get a chance.Similar to yours.

idk to be honest with u im a lil bit of a newb when it comes to growing. im really just want to veg until i can get clones off each plant. the tent is 6.5 feet tall so space isnt to much of an issue. idk y but my la con and la woman arent producing too many nodes..(well there not moving fast) and i cant clone them yet so i put that cfl on the side of the plant to hopefully boost nodes so i can take some clones. but prob going into flower in a week or 2 and im considering adding another 400 watter.

Yeah the LA CON is a very slow grower. Mine is the slowest grower by far. For sure get the extra 400 if you think you can handle the heat. Better yet run just 1 600 or 1 1000.

hey whats up, so i added 2 bottles of co2 to the room and idk if its bc i flushed the plants out or what but the plants are thriving now. i read your supposed to keep your exhaust fan turned off but ive been leaving it on. im going to turn it off and experiment with the heat. im worried it might get to hot, its 75 with the fan on now. ill take some more pics in a lil bit.

so heres some pics...i turned the fan off for like 20 min and it got to 91* in there so thats a no no. the tent stinks like co2 so i think its doing its job. i moved the light back like 4 inches hoping they'll stretch a lil. the blue mystic is really behind the others and im waiting to clone her b4 i flower
theres a couple nodes on the other plants that can be cloned...i had some clonex, but i think i lost it under the tent so im going to have to get some more.

ive been looking at a lot of other grows that are 30 days into veg and they have lots more and bigger nodes than mine. im thinking the light was too close, i could feel some heat on the back of my hand at the canopy level. so idk seems like i mightve been wasting some time?? w/e... i need to get some bills together for a 600. my temps are around 71* with an intake from a small fan attached to ssome tubing on low. so i think i can handle the heat if i put the intake fan in the window which lowers the temps to like the 60's so. im just worried about exhausting hot air out my window which ive been doing for about 2 weeks...worried about infrared cameras....thinking maybe i can like put ice on the piping to cool it b4 it leaves? idk. dont want to exhaust it into the house bc of the co2.

heres the pics (plz comment on the stunted growth??)

the co2 setup

la woman

la con

chocolope

sour cream seems to be doing real well...just growing sideways a lil

the ever so slow blue mystic

lmk what you guys think....

How often are you watering? Are you letting the soil dry out before you water again? That LA CON looks a little water logged to me.Leaves look really droopy.
Yeah 91 degrees lights on is a no no...60's is to cold lights on as well. Can you vent into attic? If not you could use the hot vented air to warm your house in the winter.Adding ice to the exhaust would probably be a waste of time and effort IMO.
Keep it green!!!
