Grow Tent Club

Oh I meant from outside or in the room? Cause I was from in the room but it wasn't cutting it. Had to suck cool air in from outside. I hooked everything up yesterday and ran it for an hour. Temps got down to 76 degrees by sucking the 40 degree cold from outside. So I'm thinking I still might have to run her at night.
We have 3 six inch vents coming from the outside of the house into our newly framed grow room (in which the tent is in). Two go to the forced air heater and the other one is for keeping temps down as you are describing!

had a look around, there are also some inexpensive ones on amazon..
these kids of lights are garbage.
on the acceptable range of leds being used i would suggest Lighthouse hydro's Blackstar series. If youve got money to spend there are a ton of companies you can pay more for with "features" but all i want my light to do is grow plants.
I personally bought a 100w model off ebay for 129 shipped. Works great so far and I will be purchasing at least another 500w worth of this for the next grow. Check out this thread as we are discussing led's in detail.

what was the growth time, and yield? and how was the potency?
70-75 days, I actually did one bon 69,one on 72, one on 75. Yield was based on the phenotypes, I had 2, a taller branchy one, and a short not so branchy one. The big one yielded 1 ounce and a quarter, 34 grams, and the short one with no branches was just fat 18 gram cola. Now the third one was short but with branches, it was 24 grams.
Check out the link in my sig, I just havnt put the harvest pics up yet, but they are there.
Oh, and yes, it is dank, each pheno is different though, my fave is the tall one in the pics, very sativaish, but still very relaxing, and could medically for eating stomach issues.
The short one, boy was fruity and tasty, not as potent as the other though.

Just save up, and buy one better piece at a time. I am doing it that way. I started with cfl's and a pc fan. I have 3 hps lights now and a mh light etc.... It just takes time.

Hey guys

looking at getting a small tent... 2x2x5

anyway i'm new to ventilation and tents.. so I'm wondering if I pump air from inside out or what?

Getting a 4 inch inline fan... also trying to add a carbon filter in a few weeks, I can just add that shit to the end or what?

thanks & sorry for the noob question i'm subbd :)

there should be passive intake flaps on your tent. also are you asking about how you should run your carbon filter?

if thats the case then there are many different ways to run your filters,
for example
filter in the tent attached to the fan with ducting running out
most people run their filters this way (easiest option imo).
heres a picture of the way i run mine.
although im a newb at this as well its just a trend i notice.
hope i can help

In the beginning I went to home depot, and found an 85 watt cfl. They didnt have any bigger. Even their outdoor lights hps and mh only went up to 150 watts. I was really bummed.

lol i they had these 300 watt cfls when i went (equivalent). they were like 15 bucks, and boy were they big (see the comparison to my shoe ), but they werent out in the open you had to look a lil bit through the bulb section
ok then they are the same as I had. It was like 10" long I think. I had a round reflector to put on it, but it was too small for it. I used a dryer vent sheet metal piece that was open. I drilled a hole and put a 2 way socket in there. I hung it over plants. It worked pretty good actually.

Nice, I wanted to something similar...I saw a video on youtube.

haha yea the round reflector didnt fit on mine either, haha so i just used it like that
Here is pics of the reflector I made.. Note that it has small cfls in it right now for show. I dont have the big cfl's anymore.

This made a huge difference, it was used for just a few plants. You could do the same thing with 1 light each as well and have more coverage than mine.
