Not sure dude but I think I read a post from subcool that said a 600 would cover a 5x5 space and anything else is wasteful. Not a 100% on that though. How long you been running thouse temps?

Amazon has the best deals for tents that I have found bought a few off there for $89 shipped! My tent is detailed on the 1st page of my AK48 grow. 400W HPS during summer hits 86F max with my setup still a little high but plants have adjusted to a slightly higher environment

yeah you can, but higher temps can slow growth back down though. I guess it depends on the strain, but I think over 85-90*F slows down growth.

That's cool. Sounds legit I guess more watts = more yeild. I still think I'd rather spread it out and grow more plants LOL!
Damn and their green and healthy!? You must have a strain that likes heat. Keep us updated. I'm always freaking out about my 80 degree temps! Hahah

secret jardin does not make the best tents... homebox growlab is whats up...much better. i swear, im going to start selling these things.

I've had both Secret Jardin and GrowLab, they're both great tents but I am not a fan of the multiple zippers on the GL so I run strictly DR now for both my veg and flower tents. It's all preference between those two brands, I don't think either one is better than the other

I got mine off ebay for less than $90. It seems to works pretty well. I have done about 3 grows in it without any problems.

hello RIU, Long time member juss been withought a computer for a while but I'm back like I left my car keys lol....but anywho...quick question reguarding the Growlab GL80 hopefully someone can help me out here...Im looking into purchasing this Tent but everywhere I search I can find a reccomendation on how many full grown plantts can fit comfortably....I haven't decided whether I'm going to do a soil or hydro grow....buut maybe someone can help me out????any advice will be greatly apprciated....thanks again

I havent used tents yet, but looking at the size 2.25" square, I would guesstimate 4 plants, so that you can still have room for any accessories you will need in there. This is just a guess though. I am talking about tall full plants like you mentioned. If you flower from clones more will fit.

I have four sweet tooth plants that are about 18 inches tall. They are a little cramped in a 4x2x5 tent. They seem to branch out and that causes problems. If you would say grow haze or something that is tall and skinny then it would work. Also I keep my HPS light about 6 inches from the plants. Any more than 4 plants they are noticeably outside the hood's lighting ability.

If you haven't purchased your lights yet might i suggest going LED for this. I will be running a minimum of 480w of LED in my tent of the same size and If this scales from the grow i have going right now small scale then i am going to be happy with the results of this upcoming grow myself.

Aloe I heard that LEDs are not very efficient for the price, especially 480 watts (expensive). My guess would be that you can get half that many watts of cfls and and come out even better...IMO.
i am getting a whole kit from ebay... but when i get the money i am switching to LED's too save money on bils

You can get some inexpensive led lights from http://www.chinavasion.com/search?q=led+grow&Submit=GO not sure of the quality. I have bought a radio and LCD monitors from them and they work very well. I may order the $60 one to test with.
