well i may have found ideas, im thinking of bumping up to a 4x4x5 ft tent w/ 400W hps & 6 plants. Do you think a 400w hps would be enough heat to keep a fairly cheap (150$) grow tent warm enough in a cold, 40 degree f crawl space considering 1 intake and 1 exhaust fan?

I dont think so im fighting cold now lights off my tent is at 40-50 degrees lights on without heat its 56 ith the tent closed.I have to turn on the heat to get it in the high 70s but then my humidity is drier than the desert..

You can do it now..I wish i could guide you thru it but i cant..lol click on edit avatar when you do that it will have two boxes in the middle of your screen saying add link or upload from computer.I use the upload from comp only after i saved the avatar i want on the comp...
Go to my rollitup and look on the left after you do that scroll down and edit avatar everything else should be right there.

I'm not running my exhaust thru my light. I will have a separate duct running thru my light.

ohh. well luckily i was going to invest in autoflower plants, that way they grow faster and there is no dark or cold period. I was told they get very hott and could easily be enough to heat a 80 cubic foot box

So im seeing all kinds of ways on here to run a carbon filter, i get my tent and my carbon filter tomorrow and wanna start brainstorming how im gunna do it. any ideas?
if this info helps its a:
4x4x6.5 tent
200-400CFM Carbon Cannon 4" Carbon Scrubber
250CFM Cannon Fan

any help is appreciated! +rep?

I just set up my tent the same size as yours, and I set it up with a 6" 435 cfm fan and 6" scrubbber. It works great, nice temperatures usually around 74-75 with light on. I have it set up filter>hood> fan>out. I dont think a smaller fan would of cut it for my tent and set up, which is only 400watts.

Hi, I'm also new to this tent thing andd just read about scrubbing also...........................that is the way I have my tent setup also but i was wondering if that's the way to go??......

I thought of this one but don't know if I should change to this----filter-duct-fan sucking from filter and blowing through the light then through a duct going outside the tent........

Any comments, suggestions or advice are more then welcome...................

yes Lt. Dan they are 8 days from seed.......or they were at that time...........will post some more pics when I load them tomorrow.

The 4icnh combo would have worked out nice for you...Trust it pulls enough air
