Grow Tent Club

Hello,

I am just starting to get ready to grow in my new tent (54 1/2 X 54 1/2 X 84 1/2). It is super cold where I live right now and I am planning on putting the tent in my poorly insulated garage. I was wondering what kind of heating unit would be best to keep my tent warm when the lights are off. I am wary of using a space heater because I don't want to dry the plants out, and I have read that using a oil filled radiator is a good alternative. My only worry so far about using a radiator is it may take up more space than desired.

What have you guys experienced when trying to keep your tent warm? Any advice is greatly appreciated! Thanks.
if your up for it you could build a box to put the heater in and use a inline fan and ducting to blow it the heat into the room.

Oil radiator is a good option. I personally used to (I was growing in tents in a metal storage shed in the yard back then) I'd alternate the tents so there was minimal overlap on lighting and duct the light exhaust to the opposing tents (basically use the lihhts from one to heat the other whioe the lights were off. Got too hot during the day and cold at night wih both tents running.)then a second independent exhaust for the whole shed on a thermostat would kick ilthe exhaust and a boxed in oil radiotor on the passive intake on when it got too warm. Temps still got low (61) but nothing too serious. Goodluck

Take the poles with you to HD or Lowes and test fit to make sure it all fits
Why would I do that? Then I would only get to go to Home Depot once that day!

It worked though. CPVC 3/4" to 1/2" T fittings. $2.92 and the light is up.

Now I just need some clones from a friend or my seeds to show up (ordered 10 days ago).

Day 37 of 12/12

Here's a shot of the 3 Peace Makers on one side of the tent. While extremely short, the bud formation is quite impressive! even the lowest buds are swelling up more than the other strains.

Here's one of the Candy Kush. It looks like they'll be finishing sooner than the rest.

That is a lot of heat for a 4x4. I'm actually picking up a DarkRoom 120 (4x4) and will only be using 1 600w. I don't use cool tubes, so that's as much heat as I can handle.
