Grow tent brands

I have been doing a lot of research on what grow tents are worth it before I spring on the gorilla, I feel like every tent has mixed reviews everywhere, or companies now saying tough luck on issues with tents.

What brands are worth buying that will last?

Gorilla? Apollo? Jardin? Vivosun? Lighthouse? Any other brand?

They all have good reviews and bad reviews.

Is gorilla really worth 3x over Apollo or vivosun? Or 1/3rd more then jardin? And if so why?

Got a gorilla grow tent 4x4 with extensions. Worth every penny also have the kind led I'd rather buy quality than some cheaper thinner or flimsy products.

How much do you want to spend? I used to have a 4x4 apollo which was pretty good quality for around 100 bucks. If you want top of the line then Gorilla would be a good choice.

I have a green qube now which is top of the line in europe. Not sure if they're available in America but definitely worth looking into.

I have 5 Gorilla tents if that’s anything to go by. I fucken love em. 2 x 5x5, 2 5x9 and a 4x4. You can’t go wrong unless you yank the zippers hard because they are strong but they do break.

I would be happy to spend the money on the gorilla, but just want to make sure that none of the cheaper tents are more worth it for the money... spend $100lasts 2 years, vs buy gorilla lasts 4 years and spent $300...

I got an $80 ohuhu 5'x5'. Metal corner pieces but no bag to store stuff inside . I know an old guy that has a gorilla 4'x4' that he uses for starting vegetables and to store some plants over winter.
The gorilla is a far nicer tent made of better material . I just don't think it's worth the extra costs though. Only time will tell. I've had the ohuhu about a year. He's had the gorilla awhile.

As above, the Gorilla is VERY thick! Spend the money so you don’t get light leaks. Believe me. Just invest in quality products ONCE. I’ve had them for a few years and they’re the bomb.

I'm about to harvest my first plant and I grew it in an Apollo tent. The #1 thing I've learned from going through it and asking for advice for stuff like this: everyone's environment is different.

Mine are just fine because they're in a room that I can already seriously limit light to*. That and the fact that I dont need to worry about smell means that I opted to put that money into something else. I was working on a serious budget and saving $100+ if I could was a must.

I also dont find it as "leaky" as people have claimed. Straight up sat inside it and couldn't see my hand in front of my face so that's good enough for me lol

*long story, I bought one and got 2 so I'm using the second for another grow. 600W HPS and it's just fine.

I agree that the light leaks were minimal with my apollo. I hung an air cooled hood and 6x24 carbon filter and the poles didnt seem stressed at all so its pretty strong too.

My green qube is a better tent but was 250 for a 5x5 so I would expect it to be better.

I have an apollo, a Millard, and a Vivosun.
They are all okay, the vivosun is the thickest.
What I found was more important is to figure out where/what type of openings you may need. Look them over good so you don't end up wishing you had duct port where you don't.
Also, big fan of the ones with windows. But I also don't really worry about light leaks.
Plan once, makes it easier.

Beachwalker prefers high quality Apollo brand tents :hump: (and recommends a 4×4 for veg). Apollo also has great customer service if you have any issues.

Go with the Gorilla tent, definitely worth every penny. Shop around you can find a deal! That's what I did! I got a 350 dollar gorilla tent for 214 bucks.
