Grow Tent and a 400 watt HPS

I have a 3x3x6.5ft grow tent. I was wondering if a 400 watt HPS will too hot for a tent that size. I have 2-4" ducts, one up high one down low.

I currently am running a 150 watt HPS and its ok but Id like to upgrade if possible. It does get warm in there, but my fans are crappy.

Any thoughts?

get a 400 watt ceramic metal halide bulb, it runs a lot cooler then a standard M.H

I'm running a 400 watt with the glass on the "air cooled" reflector in a 4 x 4 tent. I leave it open to room ventilation, if you have duct and ventiliation you should have no problems. But I know that the glass blocks some of the heat.

I don't have a thermometer in there or I would give you a degrees.

A 400 would be perfect..but you will need a inline fan on top..

I have a 400w HPS/MH running in a 3x3x5 tent and everything is fine...I wish that my tent was as high as yours.

Depending on your ambient temps, you'll need at least 150 cfm.

I have a 6" inline fan with passive intake. I am set to get a Phresh Filter to go along with that.
