Grow strips for supplemental side lighting

Hello I was wondering if anybody has any experience with Side lightinG using supplemental LEDs.
You can get these really cheap red and blue but mainly Red LED grow strips that are waterproof. One Could attach them to the side of a grow tent or put them around a plant or do anything with them really.
I think it could be cool to add some extra light to parts of the plant that don’t get much plus their super low wattage like 15 or 20 W for one,,,I think 5 foot strip.
Something I’ve been thinking about.

I went to that link but didn't see where the total wattage was shown.

My girls get an additional 160 watts of supplemental side lighting - 4 x 40 watt (3100 K) warm white flourescent tubes. 2 lights per floro fixture. I am estimating that I will get an additional 2 oz from 12 side branches I would have pruned if those lights weren't there so your idea of adding side lighting for the lower parts of the plant is correct.

What type is your primary lighting (HID, LED, etc) and the total wattage? What's the total wattage of those blurple strips that you were going to add?

Why not use some tried and trusted strips instead? There are plenty of extrusion solutions for led strips that can be fitted with plastic optics inorder to water proof.

Mind posting some of these? Im looking for some far red LED strips, that don't come $200, as theyre only going to be supplement lighting...

I already have a Fluence Spydr 2p 631w in my 4x4, as well as a MarsHydro UR45 IR/UV Supplement Bars mounted on it. I'm trying to use this Emerson effect and get some 660nm far red led strips to pair with the added IR lights - id like to power on the IR/Far Reds 15 mins before lights on, leave them on with my main light all day, then leave them on as well, 15 mins after my main light goes out. My plan is to either mount the strips in between or even ON my Fluences bars (like the MarsHydro's) or use them on the 4 corners of the frame of my tent (or both).

I've already figured out a way to use the UV on a seperate timer and only use it for 4 hours during high noon, when vegging (the link to said timer is in the photos). Then about double that during flower. I just need a cheap alternative to add in some 660nm LEDS, in unison with my main grow lights!

Any opinions?

3 y o post but let me think. Pretty sure Cutter.co.au has some. Youll have to look around their site for them

Kingbrite on alibaba also does mono strips in 2 and 3 feet. Cant post links, im on the app. Look for Kingbrite and in product section i think its called flower booster. They have uv, far red, reds blues and i believe theyll let you do custom as well, not sure on moq.

If your uv bars are uva, I believe you can leave them on, the whole time lights are on.

I asked the same question. I have the blurple led tape too.

From the YouTube videos I've watched it helps the lower buds to get bigger during flower.
