Grow room idea

So ive been thinking of creating a nice 4x4x6 grow room, would it be a good idea to have like 2 cfl tubes running up each side of the room and a 400w at the top or is there such thing as too much light?

Actually, there is never anything such as too much light. There is however a thing such as too much heat. So more lights may require a better and possibly more costly vent system. But the plants love as much light as possible. So I would say go for it, just be sure to keep the temp between 75 - 90 but I think you will do just fine.

Fluoro tubes work well for sidelighting. Use a mix of warm and cool white. The ballasts do create a good bit of heat though but, nothing good ventilation wont cure.

I think that in that size space if you are cool the 400 watt hps the flouros will not be an issue.
