I'm on my first grow but it's my second grow room set up.

I would recommend a 600 watt light because you will have less heat than the 1000. Your on a budget and you don't want to get into heat problem. My first room I did 2 1000 watt and I had money and I threw an indoor ac and a pricey fan to ventilate the lights . I still had heat problems with all that. You can get the 600 Watters closer to the plants.

So like I was saying, you need to read and watch vids.
Having six plants doesn't mean much. If you properly top and lst or scrog you can get a lot out of each plant.

But here's how you should think of it in my opinion... it's all about light and space. You want to put as much plant into your space and hit it with the most light you can. This is yield

If you grow super tall plants with with weak lighting you will have skinny tall plants with puny top colas that won't yield as much as one plant topped a couple times and vegged good and scrogged or lst
