Grow Medium

Hi, I recently bought an aerogarden for my first time grow with an additional ten cfls. I have just about everything set up, but like an idiot, I let the folks at Canadian Tire fix my car. My aerogarden was in the trunk and all of the sponges are totally screwed up (either covered in something or broken). I was wondering what would be the best alternative as a growing medium. Also, what are some good nutrients to back up or replace aerogarden nutes? Thanks and rep to everyone that helps. kiss-ass

Any kind of sponge will work. I've use a carwash sponge from wally world and memory foam. The memory foam is real dense and slows grow of the roots starting off. The carwash sponge is the best.

Fox Farm's hydro trio pack is good for nutes.

What kind of seeds you got?

Thanks a lot, I didn't realize that the sponges were so interchangeable. I'm gonna check out the hydroponics store near me to see if they have Fox Farm stuff.

I ordered Brainstorm feminized seeds from Dutch Passion. They were fairly cheap compared to other feminized seeds.

Interesting. I think I'm gonna head back to the garage and steal some sponges.
