Alright well this is my first grow on RIU, had a few before this but never tracked them.
Anyways, I'm going to start a few indoors and determine sex so I'll be able to move them outdoors without fear of males.
I'll probably veg them for about 3-5 weeks, take some clones and throw them straight into flower to see if the mother plants are indeed 'Mothers'. (when they develope a root system of course)
I germed some seeds on tuesday, kept them on the back of my tv, four popped and have some nice tap roots on them. (I think that it took longer for them to pop because it has been only about 65 in my house this week.)
I took the four and placed them in peat pellets that I let soak for about 12 hours or so. Right now they're sitting on my window sill, had them there since sunrise. Now I play the waiting game.
Note: They will be moved to a grow box (coverted three foot speaker box) while they are indoors, I just have to finish them, so for now they are going to be soaking up some rays until that is done.
Indoor set-up :
1 x 120 watt plantgrowth light.
4 x 23 watt daylight CFL bulbs
2 x speaker box 1' x 1' x 3'
1 x 10k bag of nitrogen-rich soil
4 x 5gal pots
2 x drain tray
I'm keeping it simple inside, I might pick up some rooting gel when I get around to cloneing but I won't be useing any nutes for this grow. (Keep in mind, when I find the sex of the mothers, they will be going outdoors!)
Any suggestions or tips are welcomed, I don't have a lot of experience, but I've had good results with my other grows. I find a lot of people make it more complicated than it actually is!
