Grow Lights

New to this but here is what I have going...5'6" high 6' wide 2'6" deep grow cabinet, I have a 2' wide by 2'6" tall cloning area in this box, so basically I have a 5'6" high 4' wide 2'6" deep growing area for the plants during veg and flower. My question is should I use 2-75 watt floros while the plants are babies or is it safe to use my 600 watt HSP. I will upload pics of my grow cabinet when I get my Lights, Fans and ducting installed...Please respond..

that said...IMO you can never grow wrong with cfls while vegging. cfls are very forgiving, they dont get hot, and it supplies enough for a plant to grow leafs well.

however unless you have like "24" 26watt(actual) cfls (2700k) the "red spectrum" s for flowering you wont get as much out of your plants yeild wise.


a 600watt hps/mh will turn that little space into an oven, but in general hps/mh are better.... MH(blue spectrum) for growth...hps(red spectrum) for flowering
