Grow light and few other questions

Hi im thinking about starting my first SCROG.
So what would be better for

• Height 1800cm (708 inches)
  
• Width 900cm (354 inches)
  
• Depth 400cm (157 inches)

CFL or HPS and at what wattage for this grow space as well 1 or 2 plants?
These will be photoperiod plants. any help appreciated.

How good would 400w hps handle?
And would 2x 200mm, 110 CFM fans be enought for it?

that area is huge a 400w is baby crap in something that size your numbers are off man
a 400w is crap in something that size u only get a 3x3 area of good buds 4x4 total useable area after that the light is to weak to do anything on plants
110cfm fan is well shit ........like a fart in a large room makes noise but does nothing

to figure out cfm for a area it
length times width times height that gives u the basic cubic foot for your area yours is
22626.5 cf now for a good plant u want the air replaced once every 3 mins so that number devided by 3 is
7542.16666666667 cfm needed for a decent plants using your numbers


to do your numbers correctly u are looking at 5 to 6 1000w hids and some where around 4 12 inch inline fans plus the 4 6 inch fans to cool the lights in the cooltubes

in some cities they are converting old warehouses into loft style housing they section off a area for the unit then build up ..........it is hip heck they have started converting shipping containers (u know the ones on 18 wheelers and cargo ships) into homes

I have seen them turn the containers into "dooms day bunkers"
I had an Idea when i lived back in Texas to bury 5 of those containers and grow under ground. instead i spent my money on a house up in CO, no point in being buried at Huntsville

the pod apt is kinda cool I was thinking 1 pod per house

you could build one of those grow pods yourself for half the price, they do look clean, and their 28 week estimate might be a little embellished
but no that idea is long gone, I like my house and it came with 1400 square feet buried already for me.

yeah a typo, something of that size would be a rocket factory, just remove 1 zero's from these numbers (180x90x40cm or 70x35x15 inches) so then about this space? 400w good enought and 2x 110cmf fans? i want to use pc fans because they are silent and i could go up to 4x but they cost 10euro each so...
aswell im european so i need to use google to convert inches,foots into metric system.
btw. it will be a hydro grow and then again 1 or 2 plants? the area is about 1m wide.

ummmm........yes your light will be good 400w

as for your fan no u need to get a inline fan to suck tho the cooltube keeping your temps low and exchanging the air in your tent /space

this is the fan and carbon filter (this will keep the smell under control tho the use of the carbon filter and negitive pressure)

this is the hood /cooltube/reflector i would tell u to get ...............it will plug into the ballast u have and work like a 400w (just confirm it is a S plug they show u a pic u can look at your plug and make sure)


those 2 things will make nice plants for u and if u ever want too u can exchange the ballast from a 400 to a 600 (then just change the light bulb) ..........the fan is going to help control the temps in there so the water does not get to hot (temps in water get to high oxygen lvls get low and roots die off from that and the warmth of the water) from IR heat and visible light heat ( if u run with the filter on and a passive intake system this will keep all the smell inside the area and when it is ejected will pass over the carbon filter removing the smelling in the air allowing u to dump it with no worry someone will notice it..............the stuff i linked u is from the usa i just posted them so u could look and match to something u can get in your market area

as for the number of plants this all depends on the strain u use and the amount of time u grow it
a photo plant grown in veg for 6 weeks u could do 2 .....but it grown for 8 week or 10 weeks in veg then u turn it into flowering u can only get one
if u do autos it all depends on the strain yeild 120 grams or lower u could do 2 but if u are looking at 300 to 550 only do one

last thing i got for u is look into a method called SCRoGing (screen of green or sea of green or SCRoG )

edit...........oppps i messed up u need a 6 inch this will be massive over kill u will be exchanging the air about every 10 secs but it will make one hell of a plant in the end

that thing will allow u to lower the speed of the fan and the amount of CFM u are moving it will also lower the sound of the fan ........your area that fan on low setting should be more then enough if the passive intake air is around 21 c 20 is better.....if u notice the temp in the area is getting hotter then 26.5c turn the fan speed up u want to keep the temp lowering then 26.5 at that temp thc degrades faster while on the plant

the hood reflector is good idea, but i doubt i could find any cooling ones in my country. aswell about the fan you sent. thats a huge overkill for me as it would be sticking out of my closet, making very loud noise and most likely something like that would cost 300$ + here, and thats why im interested how good are big pc fan's. about the 1-2 plants - i want to keep the whole growing process in about 5 months and maybye a bit more if its totaly worth it (im running a risk) and as the area is somewhat wide and less deep, so then i should only go for 1 plant? and grow lights, would 400w be completely fine or i should move to 600w?
and at the end - 1 huge plant (~5 month growth time) + 400w hps + hydro would get me roughly 500g of good quality buds?

well with the fan it is your main form of heat control ...........HID lights get very hot and HPS lights even more so because they admit much more IR light

for your area u need the fan and cooltube otherwise u will be having issues with the heat stressing the plant out otherwise u will need to keep the intake temps in the teens 15c


if u can not get a cooltube or the fan then u should move away from Hids and go to LED lights ...........this will help u adviod the heating issuse and PC fans will work with this to keep your area cool

is the LED ppl i like the best ...........this is the makers so the price they tell u is much much less then buying it in the store in some cases 800 to 1000 bucks less

1 of thier 600w will do a 2mx2m footprint .........and get u the depth passed a HID ............to help u out more the light has 3 built in modes veggie flower and uv ...........plus a do it yourself so u can mix light specs

i am getting 2 of the lights myself plus the wireless controller (shipping and all that was under 1100)

with that light a photo growen like u say with hydro (aslong as u keep the ph right the feed right and the temp in the root zone right ) a 500 gram plant should be possible ............i did 26 oz 20 grams off a autoflowering in 110days

but understand this ..when u grow a monster plant it takes alot of work as it gets into heavy flowering it feeds much more so the PH lvls in the water alter fast u will be PHing it 4 to 6 times a day ...........and adding a gallon to 2 gallons of water a day
