GROW JOURNAL Party cup from clones

Citral Clones Grow Journal

Hey RIU,
These 2 clones are my first grow. I recieved them from someone else an didnt think they would make it, but now they seem to be doing very well. They are on a 20-4 light cycle and 3 inches under 5 cfls all being 26watt 6500k except one 23 watt 2700k . 1700 lumens each. Temps 80-90 degrees. I'm also LSTing or at least trying to. It seems to be working

Also the mother plant was a week or two into flower when these clones were cut off. I've had them for about 2 weeks or less and was trying to get them back into veg. They seem to be growing more and more white hairs and maybe what i think is bud starting to form. Now I think I will just put them back into 12/12.

How much do you guys think they yeild if i put them into flower now??

Any advice and tips along the way is greatly appreciated, as I am noob!

The bottom leaves on this one seem to be gettin more and more yellow today.

Transplant...Strangling the roots, possible PH issues in such small growing containers could lead to nutrient lockout. Thats the next item on the list. If that doens't work you will try something else. And if you just fed it today, it needs a chance to take up the nutrients. Just don't over feed it, let it do it's thing for a day or 2

I agree, could be the nutrients. Here's a link for some homemade nutrients that I have found to be successful on my first grow.

You might want to put them in larger containers, 1.5-3 gallon should be fine. Also, what is your ventilation setup?

There isnt much ventilation just two computer fans blowing on the lights to cool them down. They made the box go to 100+ degrees. I dont really have room for bigger container. I think its in home depot soil, would it be worth trying to switch it to some foxfarm ocean and forest? I use chicken gwano is that good enough?

heres a picture this morning looking much worse:

Well it could be the rooting system your plant has developed. They look pretty decent sized so I would say transplant them into a larger container. From the looks of the top view picture of your box, it looks like you could fit larger pots for your plants. You might want to consider getting another computer fan and cutting a hole in the box for exhaust. That would bring the temps down as well.

I will work on the bigger container, but there really isnt much room even tho it seems that way. There are 2 clones and a seedling in there.

the clone i am having problem with was topped in 3 different spots at once. I did that right before this problem began.

Could this be the cause?

The other clone has never been topped at all, and looks greats. and thats the only different between the 2.

It's PH combined with a bit of too wet soil I would bet..

My little cup plant had like issues.. that small of a pot you have to be on your ph EVERY watering.. ph, light nutes, but each watering.

Go to Walmart and get a dropper test in the aquarium section for less than 5 bucks. A good way to test PH? Not particuarly scientific.. no.. BUT it WILL get you ballpark and get you over the guessing part.. If you are using city tap water your PH could be over 8, (for example) and if so your plant will do exactly what it is doing there.

Don't try and do anything to help your plant until you do.. because if you try adding or subtracting anything while the PH is off, you can do much worse damage than doing nothing at all.

These are just my thoughts.. mileage may vary.. do your own research before you take my word on anything. *S*

ok cool. I am using tap water that gets filtered threw a fridge. The only thing that confuses me is how well the other clone is doing. They get everything the same except the topping.

think it was the ph cuz once I flushed it and started using poland springs it hasnt shown much yellowing! It has hairs everywhere and now i think it may produce a decent party cup yeild!

How much do you think this plant will yeild ? its been flowering for 3-4 weeks.
