hey youngblood didnt u have some questions about topping? i have two plants started flower on xmas lol anyway i like to top because you can get them to stay short and bushy. ill post some pics asap.

1.jpg3.jpg2.jpg both plants were topped at the second true node. as you can see there are four main colas growing. check out "uncle bens topping for four colas"

yea it could be better. didnt have all my nutes and good soil till after they were growing for a while. i love topping since the first time i did it. especially if u have no room u can keep them short and fat. and u get four drum sticks in the end. i thought about doing the FIM technique on top of each cola... has anyone ever done this???

fox farm ocean forest or whatever its called lol. pretty good soil tho, has good amount of perlite not to much. i have done my own soil mix from SUBCOOL. it was very impressive also. u should check that out, works perfect for newbies like us lol.

James the plant is lookin great.

Freddog when is topping preferred over lst? Because I know lst will keep it short too but doesn't stress the plant as much.

Yea l s t is really catching my attention. Like I said before well try it next time lol I want this girl to make it first
lol i hear you i was the same way. and when u say L S T are you talking about FIM technique (fuck i missed) where you cut the new growth at top of plant? IMO when u top the plants are able to get more of the light since you have four different colas. u dont have to worry about top if buds getting all the light. when i had my first grow the plants that were topped turned out better in my opinion

next time let the plant grow 5-6 nodes.. so it developes a healthy rooot system. than if you want four colas cut above the second node. if you want two main colas top at the first true node. plant should recover fairly quick

Lst is when you tie down the main stem and the goal is to make it grow horizontally and the side shoots almost become mini colas
