Grow cupboard questions

Hi,

I have a cupboard which is about 3.5 foot x 3.5 foot and 4 foot high (maybe slightly more). Then it is separated by wood (which I can drill through if I want for ventilation, then it reaches the roof.

I'm asking you if the following would be suitable:

1. line walls and door and floor with mylar sheeting.

2. drill a large hole in the wood on the top and run a tube from there, to an extraction fan which will blow into a carbon filter... perhaps the carbon filter will be attached to the extraction fan and resting above the hole.

Code:
ventilation and filter
!__! wood
! ! grow area lined with mylar sheeting
!__!
Now I am worried about fire risks and fire hazards. Would it be ok to go with CFL for autoflowering varieties in this setup, if so what would I need for 4 plants? I'd like to grow 4 because me and my brother both love to toke and we are tired of dealers so why not grow our own.

I am not interested in really long grows or odd lighting, I just want to have a nice toke and grow it hassle free, so with that in mind, any advice? thanks guys!

instead of mylar, just paint everything flat white. mylar is a pain to apply properly and a bitch to keep clean.
for that size area, a 250 watt HPS would work better than CFLs and less headache to setup- you wire 1 light instead of 10-20 25 watt CFls or 2-3 100 watt CFLs. up front cost may be a little higher but in 2-3 yrs,you will only be replacing 1 bulb verses many so over 5-8 yrs, it would be cheaper. CFLs will throw as much heat as a HPS so that wont make much difference.
the risk of fire is mainly from improper wiring so if you wire everything properly, you won't have any worries.

Thanks man, a 250 hps and painted walls will help keep the cost down. Any ideas about ventilation and filter? I guess I need a carbon filter and an extractor fan plus a normal small clip on fan as well don't I? if anyone has any cost effective solutions for that in uk let me know, ie wikes or B&Q...
