Good so far, how did you germinate your seeds?
Strain?
What's your tank tempt?
Got a fan going?
Tom

Young, established seedlings or rooted cuttings are started at 500-600ppm.
The TDS is increased to 800-900ppm during peak vegetative growth. During the transition from early to heavy flowering,
TDS is further raised to 1000-1100ppm.
It is then reduced to 400-500ppm during the final 2 weeks of flushing.
The last 48 hours, use plain water only.
This formula can be altered to feeding right up to the end
Seedlings, Early Sprouts 100 to 250
Early Vegging 300 to 400
Full Vegetation 450 to 700
Early Blooming 750 to 950
Full Mature Blooms 1000 to 1600

Hey major, thanks for the reply. The parent plant came from an outdoor grower that was a friend of a friend and he started the seeds in moist dirt pods outdoors.

the strain is Big Bud from the Hollond Seed Co.

The tank water temp is holding around 86-88F.

I have a small inline fan that came with the light kit. not sure what's the cfm rating though.

Any additional advice is more than appriciated!

Your looking for trouble with the tank water that high, got to lower it to 65-72 or so
Put ice or frozen pint bottles of water in the tank till they melt then put them back in the freezer again.
Air tempts n the room about 68-78

Nice to have you on threeB, I will post updates as they come. Right now its just waiting for the cuttings to take root.

I'm dealing with some water temp issue at the moment so I have installed a new fan to help.

Yea get those temps down, bad for the roots and nute uptake slows down because it's to warm to take them in optimally at the lower temps suggested.

Ok guys I could really use some feedback on the pics below .

I have finally got my water temp stable at 75F and the air temp at 80F.
I had to upgrade the fan and go on a frozen water bottle regiment.

On all of the plants I see roots extending out past the net pots so that is a good sign, but I am seeing a lot of yellow and brown spots on the leaves. Please take a look and let me know what you think. Also, I need help diagnosing my continually rising ph.

PH: 6.9 to 7.9 – Ph keeps rising by 1 to 1.5 ph each day
Nutes: 600ppm – I have now added a total of 1/3 of Micro and 1/3 of Grow over the last 4 days
Misting 2-3 times per day
The light is 36inches from the plants
No direct air on the plants, but air is being circulated by a fan blowing air through the HID cool tube.

What's the story behind your avatar picure? cool

Thanks Major, back before I finished college I was friends with this chick from Tiawan. I met her in my Mandrin class, and invited her to a house party and we started talking politics, and she just so happened to have a PRC Yuan to illustrate here oppinion on the ruling party.

Thanks for the insight, not sure what PRC Yuan means

duce, your girls look the same as mine did a few days ago. i had serious pH and minor heat issues, just like major tom and the folks in the sh bubbleponics thread are saying you've got. i ended up pulling the pots out of my system and flushing each one with florakleen. it really helped them spring back, i have some bubblegum clones that grew literally an inch yesterday alone when last week they looked like they'd die of total nutrient lockout. my purple erkle is literally still half yellow but growing and getting greener each day. try gently flushing each plant then do what it takes to control their environment.

i keep my room 70-77F w/ lights on, 68-72 w/ lights off (that's the smallest fluctuation i can manage)

when i keep up on swapping frozen water bottles i can keep water temps below 70F easy. but i gotta swap 8 bottles at a time and i can only freeze them so fast...lol

i mix my solution to 5.5pH and its usually raised to 5.8 by the time i've got everything in. i only let it get to 6.5 before i drop it again and i only drop it by .4 at a time.

36" away would be plenty to keep from burning them with a 400w, provided there's plenty of airflow. i have my 1000w hps about that far above my girls but i've got an aircooled reflector and an oscillating fan blowing straight on the girls.

gotta get an oscilating fan like all these dudes are saying. without air blowing directly on them shaking them around they'll think they're stout enough and they'll be too weak structurally. it'll help a ton with room temp, too.

i only mist a couple times a day and i don't make a big dealout of it. i started a routine where on mondays i only mist once and use foliar feed, then on thursdays i use low strength neem oil cuz all my neighbors that grow (yeah, 3 outta 5...lol) have told me to watch out for bugs around here.

good luck man, i really want to see your girls get better especially cuz they look exactly like mine did just days ago. i'll update my journal and post a link if i can remember.

Thanks Hotbox, I'm glad there is hope!!! Yeah post a link to your journal

Here's what i've done so far:

Ok guys I could really use some feedback on the pics below .

That is why I will never grow with HID lights, THE HEAT!!!!

75 degree water is still not good.
I’ll start changing out the frozen bottles 3x per day
What air stones are you using? More would help cool the tank. Have you checked the feeder tubes for blockage? Can you place the tank on two 2 by 4s, on two boards, to get an air pocket under it, to help cool it?
I’m Using 2 14”stones from walmart. The feeder tubes are clear and flowing. And I have placed the reservoir on boards to allow for airflow.
On all of the plants I see roots extending out past the net pots so that is a good sign, but I am seeing a lot of yellow and brown spots on the leaves.
I don't know if it is NUTE burn, or the HEAT, or Lights too close, but that yellowing is not good.

Please take a look and let me know what you think. Also, I need help diagnosing my continually rising ph.

PH: 6.9 to 7.9 – Ph keeps rising by 1 to 1.5 ph each day

You need a pH of 5.6 to 6.9 at all times, and 5.8 to 5.9 is my target.
PH is normalized a 6
Google " pH stabilization " and study up on it.
Are you using the SH packet nutes?
Yes, I’m using the SH micro and Grow nutes.
Nutes: 600ppm – I have now added a total of 1/3 of Micro and 1/3 of Grow over the last 4 days Good
Misting 2-3 times per day Good
The light is 36inches from the plants I do NOT know about HIDs
No direct air on the plants, but air is being circulated by a fan blowing air through the HID cool tube.

You GOT TO have Air blowing on the plants. They need MOVEMENT to strenghten them, plus the cooling AIR. An Oscilating FAN is a MUST.
Ok, I’ve added a second oscillating fan to blow on the plants
Your ppm is OK but a little low, AND they look big enough for full nute packets now

Also, I changed out the reservoir with distilled water and discovered everything in the old water was covered in slimy algae, so I assume this is the reason for the PH problem. I now have the rockwool and hydroton covered to prevent algae growth.

Is there anything else that I can do? Any ideas on the yellowing/browning?
