Grow#2: White Russian & Serious Chronic

Hello all. This will be my second real attempt at growing in my closet. I have tried many different clones but to my avail they never made it or they just stopped growing.

Im using a 150w HPS from HTGsupply in a custom 2'x1'1/2x3 cabinet.

Im growing 2 White Russians and 1 Chronic from Serious Seeds. They are around one month old and had very minimal damage from mites! Soil is a 50/50 mix of MG Seedling Starter and FoxFarm HappyFrog.

All three plants have been topped and pinched once. Serious recomends NOT topping Chronic but, look what its done so far lol.

They are on day 4 of 12/12 and im not sure if they are male or female. Should be finding out soon enough. Im a little concerned about the color loss on the new leaves and growth. I just fed tonight with AN BigBud, CarboLoad, and Sensi A-B.

So hopefully I can pull this off. Im really looking forward to pullin some decent nugs. I effen diserve it lol!!:hump:

the two plants in the square pots are White Russians and the round pot is the Chronic.

questions, comments, conversation is appreciated.

I added 46watts of CFL to the cab. Looks like its gonna help and maybe ill add 46 more.

No problems seem to be occurring. Plants are healthy and new growth is happy. Pics later i suppose.

Hey bro. Only use those CFL's in conjunction with that HPS. I'd use the CFL for a couple more nodes then take them off. Once the plant gets nice and big from the HPS alone, add some side lighting like you can have done in flowering.

A good mixture of CFL/HPS (veg CFLs) will cause some great light penetration and some FROSTY nugs if you use them together in flower.

Goodluck brotha things coming along smoothly thus far!

you using nutes yet?if you have Sensi A and B bloom, id start them on a little less then half strength of the light feeding schedule-about 0.5 mL per litre.(about 12 or 13 drops) If, in a week theyre taking off you can up your dosage.

whatup guys.

bterz, if i ed up throwin two more CFLs in there then ill prob add a blue spectrum bulb. It may not look like it but the HPS is on too. Id be a fool to try and grow those with just two CFLs lol.

skywalker1, part A will be purchased asap. Have only fed with BigBud, CarboLoad, and Multizyme.

thanks for checkin in

I would wait on the big bud. Its designed for weeks 2,3,4 of flower.

Also, I understand you're growing with the HPS as well but I was concerned the CFL's might be shading the HPS a little bit. Wat im saying is get them on the sides rather then tops. :D :D

its as close to teh side as it can get, not shading too much, but making the cab inside a hell of a lot brighter (150s blow). The bigBud wont really do much without a base nute anyways. Im waiting on Sensi part-A. (got part B). Bitches seem strong, just waiting on them to show sex.

Just in case someone is watching. I took some pictures tonight. Added a 6500k CFL in there to promote some growth. Keep forgetting to go out and buy a socket adapter, once i do that ill add about 4 more 2700k CFLs for HPS support.

Looking back from the day i got them (first post) i can see where the Chronic has BLOWN UP. Im pretty sure shes a girl too. If not im gonna cry haha.

These bitches are sucking up water. Lemme know what you think. Pinching and LST comes tomorrow night :)

PS. the leaves arent as yellow as they look. I had my desk lamp on but it looks a little weird.

no pics right now but tonight when the light turns on ill take some.

The Chronic looks sad and is drooping. The Russians have somewhat of a droop and the first set of fan leaves are turning yellow :(

here a just a few pics of my setup. I re-did it all on Friday and im really happy with it. I used to have to be home when the light turns on (11:00PM) so i can turn fans on and open the door. I finally got a digital timer and the Vortex hooked up and silenced with the cardboard box i put it in. Filled it with insulation too. The fan and ballast are mounted on the top. The exhaust ducting comes out and hooks onto my door knob and blows hot air out. Temps stay at about 78 and I cant even here the Vortex fan running while sitting here in my room typing this.

The White Russians need to be fed with some nutes as the fan leaves are starting to go yellow and curl. Lacking N for sure.

The Chronic on the other hand is doing very well :)
