Id do pots that way you can move them if you need to and if you are doing autoflowers their root systems wouldnt get as deep as a light cycle plant would so you wouldnt reep the bennifits of inground like they would.

The only answer to your question is which method YOU prefer. As you can see there are many ways to grow the weed, but it is how you want to do it.... that makes it yours. Pots,Bags and Earth all are ideal.

well you got pro's and con's for both. If you choose outdoors then you won't have to water them as frequently, the roots will have more room to expand, they'll be stealthier, most likely you'll have a greater harvest and it's less effort to move plants/supplies in and out but you'll have to amend the soil or add your own and if you have to move them for what ever reason you risk damaging the root ball. If you choose pots, you have the advantage of knowing exactly what is going into your plant, no waste water/nutes, easy to move, provides some protection from small animals/insects but in my opinion it's a lot more work unless your just doing it in your backyard.

I always use the native soil and amend it with an organic premix.

The soil at my grow location is good enough so I add to it organic fertilizer. I dig up 5 gallons of soil for a hole and mix it on a tarp with about 4 cups of my organic premix. Then put it back in the hole. This adds time released organics that feed all summer long into the ground soil. All I do is water during really hot periods if the plants need it.

A simple organic premix is something like:

A bag of bloodmeal for nitrogen
Two bags of bonmeal for Phospherous
Two bags of Kelpmeal for Potassium and trace elements and vitamins ect.
An equal size bag of lime
Maybe some greendsand or azomite

This is a recipe that will feed all summer long and grow 8+ foot plants. Later in flower you can top dress with some potash as a bloom booster.

Ocean Forest, I've heard, can be too hot, dangerously so. When I say "hot," I mean it literally. That stuff can compost to the point of combustion...compustion? I've always used FF brand Happy Frog, and I have zero complaints.

So I'd say pots, unless you're someplace with already pretty awesome soil. If:

a) You're growing autos, which, as already stated, won't veg long enough to develop big root systems;
b) The ground you'll use has less than ideal soil, and would require digging holes and then backfilling with better dirt;

then you could save yourself the trouble of digging holes, which is a pain in the ass, by just filling pots and using those. Just my lazy ass 2 cents.

General Hydroponics Nutes are good, I use them along with Liquid Karma+Superthrive+Supernova+Dark Energy+Sweet.
Since using these med, my plants grow faster and have developed good root structure.

How much was your yield?.. What kind of nutes do u recomend for autos?
I'm not really sure about yield, because I don't have a scale. As a general rule, autos are somewhat nute sensitive. I plant in FFOF and don't introduce nutes until after 1 month. I use FoxFarm's nutes, starting off at about 1/2 strength. Usually just Big Bloom and/or Tiger Bloom.

Here's a link to last year's grow journal, page 30 shows the harvest.: https://www.rollitup.org/grow-journals/312747-pablos-socal-balcony-grow-30.html

If you haven't seen it before, here's a link to a thread devoted to autoflowers: https://www.rollitup.org/general-marijuana-growing/199319-autoflower-thread-resource-guide.html

But, like I said, the smoke was disappointing. Not very strong, and just not the kind of high I enjoy. Best of luck.
