Grocery store PM control

What is everyone using for control of PM? I have been using a mixture of 600mls water, 100mls skim milk, 1/4 tsp. baking soda, and 1/2 tsp Oregano oil ( extra virgin olive oil works too! I have also used it in a pinch). It's been working like a charm for this whole grow. Just make sure to keep shaking the spray bottle so the oil doesn't separate. My space is contaminated with PM spores but because this is my last grow (fuck you harper) I don't want to buy more greencure or sulphur burner or anything. Just thought I would share.

I never had pm yet, but I hear that lemon juice kicks ass, it throws the pH off on leave surface and wipes it out.

I just use Green Cure if I see any PM. It's pretty rare in my garden these days, but I battled it hardcore when I first started growing.

I've heard good things about the milk spray, but haven't needed to try it since I'm still working on my first tub of GC.

How exactly do you acquire "powdery mildew"? Shit frightens me.

You acquire PM by existing in Northern California. The shit runs rampant out here with all the poorly managed grows, unhealthy plants, and perpetual chemical warfare that gets waged here in the Bay Area. People love to "supercharge" their plants with CO2 and high levels of nutrients (especially nitrogen during veg). Fast growth rates result in lots of soft, weak, new tissue that hasn't hardened up yet, just waiting to be infected by an opportunistic (and ubiquitous) PM spore.

It's unfortunate, really. It's one of the biggest reasons I started growing my own. Growers out here liberally spray their plants with toxic chemicals like Eagle 20, Avid, Floramite, etc. It's absolutely disgusting, and I wanted no part of it....

PM is all about keeping your environmental controls in check..you have a RH over 60% and you are inviting it in.

baking soda and H2O2 works very well.

May11- It's scary, but really not that difficult to control organically. As mentioned above, keeping your environment in check goes a long way for prevention. That said, I've had it in past gardens with humidity never exceeding about 40-45%. Some strains are just magnets for the shit.

I was free of PM, then I introduced some clones that had PM. Should have dunked them but its no worrys now. My concoction is having no problems dealing with it. My RH is sitting around 15% lights on and 30% @ lights off. I have more than enough ventilation and a good stiff breeze blowing around my grow area. The strains I grow seem to be susceptible to PM..

cause by environment with fluctuating humidity levels. or just a bad strain with std's (pm)

I used to get it regularly at my old place . small 8x8 room. not much air flow. 1 window. old ass a/c... there was quite a bit of fluctuating humidity at the bottom of the mountain though too.

Now I never get it.. Its a dryer climate here. I have a 11x11 room withe vaulted ceilings. It takes more to cool down. but plenty of air flow


a light neem / soap foliar spray or a foliar mix of lemon juice, aloe vera , and soap works great too.

horsetail Equisetum spray.
