Greetings from the Far East

Well, I have already made a few posts about my first grow but I thought I should do a formal introduction. Originally, I am from the Midwest of the States but I am now living in Japan. I'm returning to the US this summer and wanted to start growing my own plants. So, now I am doing a test grow to get the basics.

This site has been a great resource for me in the initial stages. While I can't find all the equipment in my little town, I am still looking forward to the process:-P

I am probably being lazy as I could look it up....but what are the cannabis laws like in Japan?

You better be careful. You get caught with any amount of weed over there and your'e done my friend. This guy my BF was roommates ended up going to prison for attempting to sell, transport etc..Weed in Japan and got caught..After being locked up in Japan for 2 years he was later extrodited to Leavenworth Prison where he is serving a 3 year sentence. Watch your ass.

I've never been to Alabama... and, yeah, as Tomoyo said, the laws here are incredibly strict. A friend of mine got deported for possession of a little less than 3 grams. For me, I am not intending to distribute anything as this is just for personal use. Fortunately, I am only here for a few more months. Thanks for the welcome!

Thanks for the concern! I'm way up in the north so, while I still felt the quake, I wasn't too affected. I was at home when it hit and I just ran to my little nook to support my grow lights. I didn't even know it was that bad until I checked the news. Apparently it is the largest quake that Japan has suffered...

I had plans to go there in Late April/Early May..but now that's not gonna happen..my aunt and uncle's tea farm is far from Sendai..but it's stuck in a stand still and they dont know when business will resume since their offices were in sendai they're destroyed and they're still awaiting to see if any of their employees in those offices lived..they're feared to be dead though.

I'm very sorry to hear that, Tomoyo. Are you originally from Japan? I've been living here for almost five years. It's a great place but man do I miss my bud. Where I live the prices are outrageous going at around $60 a gram!

I hope anyone close to you is doing well down south. I'm in Hokkaido so we didn't get anything too severe this far north.
