greenhouse seeds seem like the best deal out there.

what up with greenhouse seeds having really good prices on some really big yielding strains. Formexample exodus cheese is less than 5 usd when you buy ten and says up to 800 gm per msquared with 1000 watts per meter squared. Now im new to buying seeds from banks so i dont know much about seeds but i know i see lots less yielders costing lots more. Is greenhouse a good breeder? Anyone who knows from exp about them please givemyour opinion on your exp with them. Many thanks to those whontake the time to reply.

hm hm..I am wondering the same because I realized that i ordered 5 different strains from them at once. I read some mixed but very opinionated and subjective reviews about various GHS strains, but I have faith so far that everything will turn out great.

Most of the success is reliant on growers, and I believe that certain techniques can augment the chances of common ill-effects anyways. Innoculating seeds in various products (such as seaweed extract or plant growth regulators), utilizing growth hormones or special fertilizers during 'x' phase of growth can increase success all around as well.

For example, I germ'd an autoAK freebie seed and it was very weak. I almost threw out the seedling with the rockwool it was in. It has taken at least a month of extra grow time somehow for this plant to grow normal looking leaves and begin flowering. How an autoflower could do this is almost a mystery, except for the fact that most weak seed(ling)s or plants that are nurtured and allowed to grow in the right environment will likely turn out decent eventually. In the outdoors, my seed would have died. The plant has benefitted from externally applied tr iaco nta nol. I expect a mere 8-10 g when it has finished.

I suppose i've rambled quite a bit. wtf are forums for though if not for rambling

im hearing mostly bad stuff about them. someone said don't count on their cannabis cup wins or the fact they are in the grow bible because they just advertise a lot in high times... only way to know for sure is to grow them out. I ordered ten super bud so they will be here soon. ya I would have probably tossed the ak, 10 grams is not worth my time. I yielded 3 1/2 zips per plant last harvest using HSO sept promo.

imo, those yield numbers and the thc % numbers are pretty useless and rarely based on fact ime..

also, greenhouse are like the walmart of the cannabis world.. some of their genetics are decent, but a large percent of them are nothing to write home about.. some can be very hermie prone, not very potent, can take forever to flower, etc, etc, etc..

if i were knew to buying seeds, there are much better breeders in which i like to support way before i'd even think about greenhouse..

imo, check out people like sannie and e$kob@r and dynasty and a few others at his seed shop for good, cheap, quality genetics that you won't regret buying and growing.. :D

there are plenty of others as well such as g13 labs, bodhi, and female seeds that all offer quality for a decent price imo.. even more if you don't mind spending a bit more as well..

I'd agree with the Cannabis Cup wins - seems more than a few cups are rigged, and I would also not count their advertisements in high times.. the grow bible, however.. is something that Jorge has spent many years writing/revising.. and he wouldn't put his name to, or sign off/recommend any bunk/lame ass shit.

I've only done Lemon Skunk from Greenhouse and was very impressed with at least 1 pheno out of 3 seeds that I planted - the mom is a keeper.... The other 2 weren't bad but not the quality of the one I kept.

Maybe as a whole GHS isn't that great but you just never know what you'll get as far as phenos from any breeder.

I shall soon find out. I got 10 super bud and when they arrived I thought they looked awfuly light color. after germing for 24 hrs under a wet paper towel only got 8 out of 10 to crack. I usually get 100% germ rates the 2 super bud and 2 free auto sweet mango from ghs as well didn't crack. the asm looked like they might take longer because they just looked hard shelled. so either everyone is right about ghs or they doing something right cuz someone else is hating on them baddd.

I ad straight male in bubba kush, the trainwreck was the wankest strain iv ever grown.

I did like Rokerijs Lemon skunk (supplied by franko)

Like RB siad their not a good company just a bad seed selling shit house. Them yields are soaking wet you could get that from anything.

and as for Jorge he would endorse for favors and greenhouse is the biggest favor giver, all them strains he as none of them bred buy him (arjan or franko)

I don't personally know Jorge, but I've seen him make statements as to what effectively sucks, and what doesn't so I'd like to believe he has a bit of integrity as to his endorsements - would hope, anyway.. given the fact that he has written 'the go-to' / 'bible' for mj growing in quite a few different aspects.

light color, as in light green seeds? If so, the seeds are nowhere near mature.. and will take some special TLC to even have a snowballs chance in hell, depending on strain.

Ive grown ghs. be careful. ive grown at least 15 beans from them and only 1 id consider a half ass winner and its only because of the high...not so much its performance (it yielded only 2.5 oz versus 4.5 oz from the plant next to it in that grow *fail*)

the half-ass winner im referring to is their Great White Shark.

i tried big bang = disaster. horrible strain. once again the yield was horrible...10 seeds = 10 completely different looking plants (ie. not a stable strain at all) the high was NOTHING like promised (it was actually racy on most plants even tho trichs were milky/amber..go figure). i think big bang promises 600 or 800g per sq meter...my results = less than half that promise!

overall id say its fun if u want to experiment and select a mother etc. but if you're just growing one or two beans = forget it. not worth it. the yields are never as promised (honestly...trust me...its not even close)

their super lemon haze and super silver haze gets some good press (you still need to pheno hunt!) but outside of that its pretty hit and miss

i guess the reason behind all their cup wins and previous good press is because the breeder for MR NICE use to work with the owner of GHS as his breeder. for whatever reasons (not important) they separated so many argue if you want the "old school" GHS stuff (the ones that one the cannabis cups) you gotta buy it from MR NICE seeds as he has the real stuff and supposedly the owner of GHS is just living off the name (green house seeds) and the genetics are supposedly watered down at best.

from my experience growing ghs i seem to believe it could be possible.

what i dont understand is if arjan is such a crook why doesnt he think to just buy beans from Mr nice (think attitude or w/e) and simply select a good mother...make S1s or breed through the mr nice line...sell it as you own creation? lol. you'd think more shady breeders would try that and actually get good sales rather than sell b.s. lol

with that said tho. i still fully intend on trying ghs' SLH and SSH just to see what they hype is on those two strains but im laying off the rest as i had bad luck w/ them on everything ive tried. its more the rep of the ppl who grow the SLH and SSH give it that make me wanna try it. if that makes sense.

Basicly what he ad to do when Scotty walked out he ad to purchase back every seed he could to get back some f2s.
The shops he got the stock back from have confirmed this in the past and also Shanti mentions it.

If look at half the newer stuff.. Super bud (critical mass) MNS stock, Diamond girl (Silver pearl), Jack herer Sensi strains and Kalishnikova is Seriouse seeds AK47

I'm just finishing some GH lemon skunk. I grew DNA's version last year. DNA's version every plant was identical and it finished in barely 8 weeks. Greenhouse, I'm right up to 9 weeks and a couple are really done and the rest are still pumping away. No uniformity in plants at all; you would think they'd have it stabilized by now if they were in control of their breeding.

The Exodus Cheese, on the other hand, is a horse of a different stripe. That stuff had a great yield, plants were vigorous, uniform and fast finishing. And the product was bomb.
