Greenhouse Seed Co. So much negativity

I am currently growing some Cheese and White widow mothers from the GHS. I am just wondering if these are good seeds. Ive been searching and searching 3 good weed forums, and all I read is, "good stuff" then followed by "Shitiest strains ever", usually the negative comments are followed by paragraphs and essays of how bad they are which make me wonder if they work for Mr Nice seeds or something or if they really are that bad. So what is it... Do I have anything to worry about?

I don't order from greenhouse anymore. I've gotten batches of seeds that did not germinate. I also am not that impressed by their strains and the amount of feminized stock they sell now days is lame. There are much better breeders out there IMO

See... that's what I don't understand, are they really that bad.... I mean, if I grow out a these two femed seeds, take plenty of clones each of them, then grow them out, will my end result be hermed or shit that is not worth a penny??? I know this could not be answered as there is no way to tell... But I just wonder, what puts them behind the other seed companies, besides the "dont have original, they stole it" which all the other companies do as well... Are my chances of getting a good crop just no there because greenhouse is really that bad... There is just so much propoganda out their on both sides, but I would like to here what people grew from them and what the result was.

The lights are about 4 or 5 inches away, I know people say to get them an inch or so away which I did, but I didn't have an ventilation due to factors out of my control, and I had real bad heat stress for a little while. Everything is perfect now though, just letting them recover a bit and boy did they.

Greenhouse seeds are ok, their newer strains can be hit and miss like alaskan ice which is just all over the place, the white widow is fairly standard as they have had that strain for quite some time and it comes from the day when they actually made something new.

These days it seems like all they really do is take some clone only strain, feminize it badly and sell it for money without really having done any work.

The greenhouse cheese isn't even from the cut though, they just took big buddha's seeds with their permission and worked on feminizing it. So that cheese is cheese back crossed into an afghani to make the seeds.

Your plants will turn out fine. although i would recommend keeping an eye out for hermies, greenhouse fem's turn very easily.

Would I grow greenhouse seeds again, probably not, but thats only for the reason that I just generally stick to a couple of breeders these days such as serious, dna genetics or other top end breeders.

I would however take greenhouse seeds over sensi's which imo are a pile of dung

So if not GHS or sensi, who's at the top of their game right now?

Sensi's biggest problem is that they have spread themselves too far, they have white label and white label feminized, they now have their own feminized varieties coming through and on top of that they own flying dutchman seeds, which also has regular and female strains, with the amount of strains they have to work on, their standards have obviously dropped.

my top 3 breeders in no particular order,

serious seeds, paradise seeds, dna genetics,

not just from what strains they have on offer, but the quality of plants that these breeders seeds produce, i've always had good germination rates and nicely uniformed plants. I also find TH Seeds can be hit and miss.

There are other breeders that can produce some quality strains but don't carry the same consistency.

Greenhouse rocks!! Every year 100's of strains get turned in at the cannibis cup. Every year Greenhouse wins. They may not have alot of new strains. But there strains still beat the new ones. Dont forget Strawberry Haze and Super Lemon Skunk! U grower must not be doin somethin right! Also, there price for 10pack feminized are cheap. Dont hate! Learn how to grow.

ive grown a few greenhouse strains..

the ones that have been around for a while are good... they tend to have breeded out a lot of their different phenos and are solid strains..

new strains tho are still 50/50... i grew out 3 super lemon haze on my last grow.. 1 died, 1 was a runt (looked like a little charlie brown xmas tree), and 1 grew right.. and all 3 expressed different phenos while growing..

i think that with some more effort their seeds could be a lot better.. but it seems they slide by on thier name more than anything.. true they do have some great strains, but i dont think they are anything special you couldnt find with another breeder as far as yield or potency...

I know how to grow just fine, you should know by now anyway that the cup is fixed.

Besides the cup doesn't judge how a plant is to grow or how consistent it is, it judges the best crop a breeder can produce, these guys have huge grow rooms and can quite easily select the best of the best, how frequent that best comes out though when you grow at home from seed is my approach to seed buying.

As I said previously, a lot of seedbanks can produce some nice strain, its their consistency as to how i rate them.

if McDonalds were to make seeds it would be through GHseeds,
they come accross as a bit of a macho industrial hard man seed machine company to me
having said that they do have nice strains that do the job but theres nothin better than a home made 1/4 pounder
in future id spend my money elsewhere, give it to the better breeders
