Mk Ultra - been pollinated with Irie cookie stomper & Mosca C99 pollen, 2 on left grown in less than ideal soil mix resulting in poor growth examples, 1 on right has a good soil mix though is shorter because it was transplanted later when flowering had begun, these MK compared to all other breeding strains this season have shown the most growth in height, tallest plant being approx 5', they want to be large plants, its listed as indica dominant but i see 80% sativa here? the resin production is not as obvious as other strains in this breeding project too, the scent is a strong pungent burnt rubber/plastic odour though i dont think it will be a concern with odour control, this strain has a great rep though on appearances its not as spectacular as the C99, DGOG, raspberry kush or GDP, have read that quality can vary greatly between batches of seeds with this strain, be interesting to see what the resulting offspring will be like when grown out next seasonIMG_2847.JPG IMG_2849.JPG IMG_2853.JPG IMG_2854.JPG

Alphakronik's Jackpot Royale - didnt win the 1000 to 1 lottery of scoring the maroon pheno...BUT... these girls are impressive in their own right, they are a strong & robust plant, medium type branching & height, the scent is very much like the creme soda as advertised, these have been pollinated by Mosca C99 & Irie cookie stomper males, very glad a few of these germed out of the old discontinued stock they are from, looking forward to growing their offspring next outdoor seasonIMG_2871.JPG IMG_2872.JPG IMG_2873.JPG IMG_2874.JPG IMG_2875.JPG

heres the original GDP from the first drop @ the tude approx 7yrs ago, only 3 germed out of 10, all girls, tallest pheno about 4' & showing least colour, great terps presenting in all, 2 have been pollinated via Mosca C99 & 1 x Irie cookie stomper, accident kinked middle plants stem near top, growing on without a hitchIMG_2879.JPG IMG_2880.JPG IMG_2881.JPG IMG_2882.JPG IMG_2883.JPG IMG_2884.JPG IMG_2885.JPG IMG_2886.JPG IMG_2887.JPG IMG_2889.JPG

Looking good! I lucked up and got one of my amnesia haze ladies pregnant but I don't know who the father is. She was in the middle of 5 males. I just noticed it today so she's been put back in the bloom room to finish producing the seeds. Excited to see what comes from the cross.

sounds good, were all the males amnesia haze too? its alway great to do crosses when you can, the dankest plants ive ever had were not bought beans, but crosses done from them & getting lucky with some great phenos to use in the crosses

The males were:

Sour smurf (x2) (sativa dominant)
Jamaican Pearl (sativa dominant)
Raspberry cough (sativa dominant)
Bubblegum (indica dominant)

The amnesia haze that got pollinated is a cross itself. A bagseed pollinated it and actually enhanced the growth of the plants. I'll be harvesting one of my other amnesia haze cross ladies Sunday so in about two weeks I'll know what the bag appeal, aroma, and buzz will be like. Hopefully it'll be good because I have three more about 4/5 weeks behind her that I'll be giving away for further review and plenty of seeds to pheno hunt with.

I'm about to build my first cloner. I want to be sure I get my clone rooting percentage up so I can be more confident in keeping my genetics alive now that I'm closer to becoming a real breeder. Hopefully I'll get a couple males from this first cross to make some more seeds.

good luck with the cloner, & the breeding program, i cant say im a real breeder cos i dont understand all the technical terms about breeding, i only go for very simple type of outcrossings of 2 different but good types & just try to spot the best pheno of each type to use, or open pollination of a discontinued strain if i have enough sprouted

That's good too because you can create a fire strain others build on! Good luck to you as well.
cheers man, havnt had a big chuck like this season for about 5yrs, but since ive went silly buying heaps of beans since ive joined RIU with all the info about great strains available i never knew about before i want to do a big chuck every outdoor season here for the next 4-5yrs, next year it will be the sherbert x OGKB type crosses of about 5 different strains

Hahahahahaha. You and I did the same thing. I still can't believe I've purchased so many beans, most of them are now discontinued. I just want to have a nice library of seeds available to me to make my own genetics and keep as many landrace genetics alive as I can. Nothing like the original!

Sounds like 2017 is gonna be an amazing year in cannabis for you!

lol yes i hope so, all the special sales we hear about the seedbanks on RIU are hard to resist buying up, i hope you have a good fridge to store yours in? cos they may lose their viability after about 7-10yrs

I'm glad you mentioned that. I'll need to start prepping now for long term storage of seeds. Be nice to grow a cross I'm making now 15 years later.
ive got to get a fridge for storage but im worried if i get raided all my beans will get taken, as it is they are well hidden in a cellar and very hard to find, but at a steady room temp and not cold storage, about 10yrs max time storage

That's also a good point about getting raided and losing the seeds. That's exactly why I keep my beans in a completely different area than my grow. I figured if I did get busted, atleast I could have seeds to start again when I get everything settled.

10 years is hopefully long enough for the feds to finally legalize it so I can safely store my beans in a locked fridge. If not, I'll just store them in a completely different location which would not have a grow op going on inside.
