sup man,

ya if your crock pot has the right temp it should work,

I just made a batch last night that im going to drink later today and get blasted!!:bigjoint:

but i cook mine on a gas stove too, there is no danger of explosion because there is no lid on the jar while the everclear is slowly boiling,

the only danger is if you spill everclear out of the jar while its cooking and it hits the flame, then a bigger flame will rise up and set the top of your jar on fire, which is not a big deal cuz all you gott do to put it out is put the lid on the pot and extiguish the flame.

even on a regular electric stove if you pour evercler on the heating element it will ignite also.

i even had a tottal catastrophy once I had like a whole pint cooking in the jar in the pot of boiling water but I had the jar propped up on somthing so it wasnt touching the bottom of the water pot,

anyway big mistake cuz i look way for one second and the boiling of the water made the jar move a lill and it tillted off the thing i propped it up on and since the jar was so full everclear it spilled everywhere on the gas flames of my stove huge flame about 1 - 2 ft high

i paniced to get the fire extinguisher but before i could even reach down and grab it and spray the fire it had already all burned out and there was only flames left in the pot and jar so I just closed the lid on the pot and the fire was out

that shit burns away very fast:bigjoint:

just make sure if you make in the crock pot that its not too hot but the everclear should be visibly boiling. however if it boils super vigerously it will evaporate a great deal so I like a nice rolling boil not too slow but not too fast.

also if you are just making a small batch its really no danger doing it on the stove, i would definatly recommend to have a fire extingusher on hand just in case and never leave it un attended while cooling.

and this is why i wanted you to weight in
your the best bro ham

let me ask ?

you are you strickly dragon now: ya for edibles i only do dragon
and do you drink the whole batch in 1 sitting: yea like if i i know i need about 3 grams to ingest i take it all at once and then enjoy the ride. I used to take only 1 gram but slowly with tolerence my fun dose now is 3 grams or 3 shots
how log does a batch last you: i ususally put 10 grams in a pint so maybe 3 or 4 personal dragon parties
how do you store it i put it in the pint bottle and leave it in the freezer, shake it real good before pouring any shot
do YOU use buds to make it; yes
if you use BUD have you tried smoking them after they dry from making the batch: no but i gave the refuse to my buddy, he let everything evaporate in the sun, his gurl and her friend smoked the whole thing drunk it was about 4-5 grams, they did not get high and also felt a lil sick

compared to smoking could you live off of dragon, no i like smoking too but now instead of getting drunk on the weekends i dragon, its much more fun

after you do a dose, do you smell like a drunk
ater i do a dose i lock my door and wait till my asshole puckers up, 3 gram dose will make you retarded:bigjoint:

but i wouldnt worry about smell. just blame it on hand sanitizer:bigjoint:

i got 3 shots ready to go, will dose at 2pm. pls leave a message, i will not be home:bigjoint:

So, do you get a little drunk, too?

I've only heard of the long process for this. I'm going to have to try this after my first harvest. My wife has a deep stew pot that's a little taller than a mason jar. That should work perfectly. We also have a rice cooker.

i guess your not big on reading:wall:
Let me see. This is a topic about making a DRINK. You posted something about making HASH with isopropyl alcohol because you can't find everclear. Moving along, an intelligent person might surmise that you intend on making a DRINK with isopropyl alcohol and not HASH that will be smoked. But hey, make a drink with isopropyl alcohol. It's your health.

Smart ass.

once again
if you take the time to read you will see that the pic show how to convert 70% iso into 100% iso-yes to make hash the higher the alcohol the better and i know you cant drink iso it will blind you if not kill you

my question was could this same process be done with drinkable alcohol such as 151 rum (have you herd of 151 rum, it is 151 proof alcohol) but everclear is like 190 proof i think -the higher the alcohol the better

:wall:and if you let all the alcohol evaperate out of the dragon you will have hash

i guess my real question is can you make drinkable alcohol stronger and still safe to drink

Everclear (alcohol)

From Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia

Jump to: navigation, search
This article is about the alcoholic beverage. For the musical group, see Everclear (band).
EverclearTypeNeutral grain spiritManufacturerLuxcoCountry of originUnited StatesAlcohol by volume95% or 75.5%Proof190 or 151ColorColorlessFlavourNeutral, contains no flavoringEverclear is a brand of neutral grain spirit that is available at concentrations of 75.5% alcohol (151 proof) and 95% alcohol (190 proof),[1] in contrast to hard liquors such as rum and vodka, which typically contain 40%–60% alcohol (80–120 proof).
Since 95.6% ethanol and 4.4% water form an azeotrope (meaning that simple distillation cannot remove any of the remaining water), 191-proof spirits are the maximum proof that is available from the distilled beverage industry.
Because Everclear is a neutral grain spirit, it is relatively low in congeners.
Everclear is manufactured by Luxco (formerly the David Sherman Company).[2]
Availability in North America
Canada

In Canada, Everclear is sold in the province of Alberta, but not in Manitoba, Saskatchewan, and most other provinces.
United States

190-proof

It is illegal to sell the 190-proof variety in some states of the United States, namely Florida, Hawaii, Maine, Massachusetts, Michigan, Minnesota [3], Nevada, New Hampshire, New York, Ohio, Pennsylvania, Virginia, West Virginia, Washington, California, and Kansas. Everclear 190 is legally sold in some military stores within the continental United States.
151-proof

In California, Nevada, Iowa, Minnesota, North Dakota, Wisconsin, and some other states, the 151-proof variety is sold.
Uses

Everclear is commonly added to a variety of other drinks, such as soft drinks, energy drinks, fruit juice, and iced tea. It is used in some cocktails[4] and sometimes in place of vodka or rum in Jello shots.
Everclear is also used in cooking because it extracts flavors exceptionally well. It can be used to make homemade liqueurs, such as limoncello.
Everclear can be used to prepare medicinal tinctures and spice extracts. This is done by soaking herbs in it for several days and then straining out the solid material.
Everclear (the 190-proof variety) is sometimes used by backpackers as fuel in alcohol stoves (often a homemade beverage-can stove). It burns cleanly, and since it is not as toxic as methanol and isopropanol, it can be stored inside cookware without contamination.
In popular culture

Everclear is featured in Minnesota humorist Garrison Keillor’s novel Lake Wobegon Days. In one scene, a housewife throws her husband’s cup of coffee onto a kitchen fire to douse it, whereupon the coffee bursts into flame. She later finds a bottle of Everclear labeled “DON’T THROW OUT” under the kitchen sink, and correctly surmises that her husband had put a shot of it in his coffee. In real life, a shot of Everclear in a cup of coffee would not “burst into flame”, as the flash point of this mixture would be far too high.
A song called “The Everclear Song” was written by Mike Ethan Messick and performed by him on his album Bootlegger’s Turn. It was covered by Roger Creager on his album Having Fun All Wrong.
In the 2001 musical film Hedwig and the Angry Inch, Tommy Gnosis asks Hedwig if she is drunk. She replies, “I’m not drunk; I’m enjoying a little rainwater and Everclear.” [5]
In the Tucker Max book I Hope They Serve Beer In Hell, Max refers to the Tucker Max Death Mix, a mixture of Everclear, Gatorade, and Red Bull energy drink which is drank from a CamelBak.
The Portland rock band Everclear was named after it.[6]
Bushwick Bill has a song called "Ever So Clear" with references to Everclear.
In Commander Keen episode 1: Marooned on Mars, Commander Keen's spaceship uses Everclear as fuel.
It can be seen in the Season 5 episode of It's Always Sunny in Philadelphia, "The World Series Defense." The gang mixes large quantities of grain alcohol with some other unknown substance to create "Riot Punch" to drink at the Philadelphia World Series game.

Bacardi 151

From Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia

Jump to: navigation, search

A bottle of Bacardi 151.

Bacardi 151 is an over-proof rum. The 151-proof liquor has an alcohol content of 75.5%.
Due to its high proof, it is typically used as a component in cocktails (whose final alcohol concentration may or may not be greater than that of drinks made with conventional rum). Bacardi is the only manufacturer that uses a flame arrester on the bottle.[citation needed]
Due to the high alcohol content in Bacardi 151, the spirit is flammable and is used in cocktails such as flaming B-52s.

Rum is a distilled beverage made from sugarcane by-products such as molasses and sugarcane juice by a process of fermentation and distillation. The distillate, a clear liquid, is then usually aged in oak and other barrels. The majority of the world's rum production occurs in and around the Caribbean and in several South American countries, such as Colombia, Venezuela, Guyana and Brazil. There are also rum producers in places such as Australia, Fiji, the Philippines, India, Reunion Island, Mauritius, and elsewhere around the world.
Light rums are commonly used in cocktails, whereas golden and dark rums are also appropriate for drinking straight, or for cooking. Premium rums are also available that are made to be consumed straight or with ice.
Rum plays a part in the culture of most islands of the West Indies, and has famous associations with the Royal Navy (See: Grog) and piracy (See: Bumbo). Rum has also served as a popular medium of exchange that helped to promote slavery along with providing economic instigation for Australia's Rum Rebellion and the American Revolution.[1]
Grades

Example of dark, spiced, and light rums.

The grades and variations used to describe rum depend on the location that a rum was produced. Despite these variations the following terms are frequently used to describe various types of rum:
  • Light Rums, also referred to as light, silver, and white rums. In general, light rum has very little flavor aside from a general sweetness, and serves accordingly as a base for cocktails. Light rums are sometimes filtered after aging to remove any color. The Brazilian Cachaça is generally this type, but some varieties are more akin to "gold rums". The majority of Light Rum comes out of Puerto Rico. Their milder flavor makes them popular for use in mixed-drinks, as opposed to drinking it straight.
  • Gold Rums, also called amber rums, are medium-bodied rums which are generally aged. These gain their dark color from aging in wooden barrels (usually the charred white oak barrels that are the byproduct of Bourbon Whiskey). They have more flavor, and are darker-tasting than Silver Rum, and can be considered a midway-point between Silver/Light Rum and the darker varieties.
  • Spiced Rum: These rums obtain their flavor through addition of spices and, sometimes, caramel. Most are darker in color, and based on gold rums. Some are significantly darker, while many cheaper brands are made from inexpensive white rums and darkened with artificial caramel color.
  • Dark Rum, also known as black rum, classes as a grade darker than gold rum. It is generally aged longer, in heavily charred barrels. Dark rum has a much stronger flavor than either light or gold rum, and hints of spices can be detected, along with a strong molasses or caramel overtone. It is used to provide substance in rum drinks, as well as color. In addition to uses in mixed drinks, dark rum is the type of rum most commonly used in cooking. Most Dark Rum comes from areas such as Jamaica, Haiti, and Martinique, though two Central American countries, Nicaragua and Guatemala, produced two of the most award-winning dark rums in the world: Flor de Caña and Ron Zacapa Centenario, respectively.[31]
  • Flavored Rum: Some manufacturers have begun to sell rums which they have infused with flavors of fruits such as mango, orange, citrus, coconut or lime. These serve to flavor similarly themed tropical drinks which generally comprise less than 40% alcohol, and are also often drunk neat or on the rocks.
  • Overproof Rum is rum which is much higher than the standard 40% alcohol. Most of these rums bear greater than 75%, in fact, and preparations of 151 to 160 proof occur commonly.
  • Premium Rum: As with other sipping spirits, such as Cognac and Scotch, a market exists for premium and super-premium rums. These are generally boutique brands which sell very aged and carefully produced rums. They have more character and flavor than their "mixing" counterparts, and are generally consumed without the addition of other ingredients.

Alchemy and the "Green Dragon"

Our Subject cannot be called the fiery Serpent of the Philosophers, nor have the power of overcoming any created thing, before it has received such Virtue and Quality from our Green-Dragon

Baron Urbigerus

"This Green Dragon is the natural Gold of the Philosophers, exceedingly different from the vulgar, which is corporeal and dead, being come to the period of its Perfection according to Nature, and therefore uncapable of generating, unless it be first generated itself by our Mercurial Water; but ours is spiritual, and living, having the generative Faculty in itself, and in its own Nature, and having received the Masculine Quality from the Creator of all things.
Our Gold is called Natural, because it is not to be made by Art, and since it is known to none, but the true Disciples of Hermes, who understand how to separate it from its original Lump, 'tis also called Philosophical; and if God had not been so gracious, as to create this first Chaos to our hand, all our Skill and Art in the Construction of the great Elixir would be in vain."

Baron Urbigerus from - Aphorismi Urbigerani
