Not sure where you are at location wise, but USPS mail is a cpl days behind at the moment because of the extreme cold where Im at in the Midwest since mail wasnt being delivered. Might just be a few days behind? I usually dont get my tracking number until the day its delivered lol....but it ALWAYS gets delivered. 100% no worries with these guys.

I know for sure the post office was closed Wednesday in his area because drag boat told me so himself. Between new seed stock coming in, the cold, and usps being themselves it may take some time but they will get to you. Maybe db and hdd came down with a sick bug? Lots of people sick right now...

I know something is up because the new useful drop isn’t even showing yet

No your order is not lost. And there is nothing wrong with our customer service.

I will address your issues 1 at a time
First,You did not buy the most expensive pack of seeds. Not that it matters.

Second, I did not get your package on Monday. Monday may be the day it hit my PO Box.
But I pick mail up every morning at 8:00 am,and they do not put mail in to the PO box until around 10AM.
I do this because I have to open our office at 8:30.
Your order did get marked paid Tuesday before we quit for the day.

This is the part I really do not under stand because you live in Michigan.
Schools here were canceled all week. The postal system in several states suspended delivery for Wednesday and Thursday. Both days were considered a state of emergency. And I decided to not send any packages out.
I did this because of the extreme cold, and I did not ship them today because my friends at the post office said things were a mess in the post office from the back log of not sending out the mail.And I felt that it was in mine and your best interest to let things get back to normal.

And as far as this "No response to your Email". The first and only Email you sent me was yesterday at 5:15 PM. I was done for the day. And On weekends I do not always answer Emails. I have to draw the line so I can have a family life . Just Like You.

And the real drag is that on my day off, I can not even come here and talk with friends with out this.

If I do not take care of business, I have no problem with someone calling me out.

But I honestly feel I did the right thing by not shipping. And the fact that I am taking time on my day off to answer your question ,does not sound like Bad Business.

No the schools weren't closed all week, I have a 13 year old in 8th grade, I know when they were closed (wed and th) . I read your shipping policy and it said 1 to 3 days shipping and you did not fulfill that so I came looking for answers, I did give you an unsigned money order afterall.

Ok ,maybe your schools were not closed all week but ours were.

And you only read what you want to. Here is the post you are referring to.

Below is how you can monitor your order.
When you send your package tracked and it shows it has arrived at my PO Box. This confirms it was delivered. It does not mean it is in my hands. But it has been safely delivered.
Then Once I have received the mail, I open it and post your payment to your account. Then you will receive an e-mail stating payment was received. And then after your order has been processed you will receive another email with your tracking number, confirming your package has been shipped. Most package’s ship within 3 business days or less. We ship to all US states in a Priority box (with tracking) for 7 dollar's.

Please understand shipping time may be longer during holidays and promotional periods.
I will add in case there is a state of emergency , altow I thought that was a given.

Please do not send E-mails asking about the status of your order. If you send your package tracked and it says it has arrived at our PO Box, you’re all set. You will be sent a conformation letter of payment being received and a tracking number when your order ships.

And do you really want your high price seeds sitting in a place they would not normal be put?
I felt that there was a way better than normal chance that a package could get lost in that situation.
I made that decision and I stand by it.

And you know what, if you would have said ,Hey Bad Dawg I was just cking on my order.
Instead of coming in here guns a blazing. This would not even be something you or I would be talking about.

I just have to say I'm about an hour and a half north of Great Lakes genetics and our schools were closed the entire week Monday through Friday and the post office was shut down at least 2 days. The banks and gas stations in town were even closed... I'm friends with my Postman he said the post office is a mess right now so I think dragboat made the right call as well. I know it can be hard sending cash in the mail but I've done it many times with GLG and have never had an issue.

So are you suggesting I shouldn't have questioned him? He could have emailed me before the delay to warn me or during the delay to explain not to expect them this week or even reply to my email that I sent yesterday and I wouldn't have come here to question his claim of prompt delivery.

My drop to GLG has net been shipped yet due to the exact same things @Bad Dawg spoke of previously. I myself live in the NE and it has been seriously brutal here as far as weather goes. It was so cold here that our water system froze up , and we had the water faucets running!!! But when the temps drop to - 15 and the windchill is - 40-50 below zero...shit happens. The last thing I wanted was to send this this drop and it just sits outside in a shipping container waiting to be shipped. So I waited...the Useful drop will ship out on Monday.

The mail did not run for two days. Trash was delayed by a day. Multiple schools were closed and most government and bank offices were closed, at least in my area.
I'm in MI as well and wouldn't have even bothered checking on an order until Friday. Our water froze once and the heater started acting up. This was a no joke time to be out an about.

Anyway... Hope to get my first order in here shortly. Might be another storm coming next Thursday but I'll take my chances.

What is a good supplier for better packaging like those foil packs? Ive only been back to work at my job a month since surgery so cheap hopefully. If not I will upgrade when I can.

I am not going to argue with you over this matter. And I did not go into detail. But once again you are being unreasonable.
I live on a dead end road and it is the last street to get plowed. I have a 4 wheel drive Grand Cherokee. On Tuesday I got stuck in the middle of the road. I was leaving to pick up a few employees for my other Business because everyone was having car starting problems. We lost internet for a least a day and a 1/2. We had problems with our animals.

And as far as sending you a email and explaining this.
YOU LIVE IN MICHIGAN, All you had to do is look out your window. Or stick your head out the door.
And I had well over 75 orders that showed up last week. I can not email them all.

And one more time (sence now you are screwing up another day for me). You sent a email Friday at 5:15.
And this is why I do not answer Emails on my day off. Someone like you thinks they own me and does not except the answer I gave them. And instead hijacks my thread and causes me and my friends to answer to you.

Now that several other friends have replied and also tried to explain their view on the matter. Now you are Questioning them.

Worth remembering that seeds are ALIVE. Dormant yes but still susceptible to death lol. I live in Alaska and seeds take quite the ride getting here... on a good day. I often think about those seed packs’ journeys and try to order accordingly. I mean we keep them in temp/light/humidity controlled environments as soon as we get them right? I Can’t always time it right, and I am a bit nervous about the viability of the order I pulled from my box at -10F last week, but if a seedbank takes an extra day or 2, and my seeds are less stressed for it, what’s really the big deal?

Also, this is a public forum. Proper procedure to address customer service issues is, first, directly with the seller through private message. If one feels they keep getting shafted with no results only THEN do you go public. Yeah give it a few days too. That can save one the embarrassment that accompanies publicly being a dick to a very upfront guy who WILL get you the beans you ordered, promptly and professionally amid the nations largest storm of the year.

Every few weeks it seems someone comes in here guns blazin... then leaves soon as they arrived... hat in hand. :roll:

@elkamino Thanks for the kind words. And I have delayed shipping before. But I have never had a cold spell that lasted so long,and it was all the snow that came the day before the cold that really messed me up.

@rzza, I am sorry that your order has not shipped, It was a abnormal situation.
