but you can see how much I use, it's simply a "sprinkling"
covering the moist leaves, and then repeating over and over.
I do the "heavy" nutrients near the top, because they will settle as you turn it over an over.

Wow so curious how does the Carpet break down haha i see you got everything nicely covering carpet lol does the carpet help in retaining the moisture is this natural composting adding VOCS you know toluene, benzene, formaldehyde, ethyl benzene, styrene, acetone ?? Are these benificial or poisons can your compost style by using Carpet not be 100 percent organic ??? and also curious i cannot find one plant grown by you with this contaminated compost
maybe you should rethink your strategy instead of using a carpet

Ohhh, these "new members" are dicks!!! Anyways, here is cheap composter that would be great to start a back up pile. I saw in the reviews that you can lift this off of the pile and it will keep it's shape. For $30, it is cheaper than I can DIY. Plus, it probably looks better!

The reviews that I saw, they said that you can pull it up after it is full and the insides will keep it's shape. So, there is only need to get one of these!

Apparently, it does not have a bottom, only sides...

shit I told you my redwood tree's roots have basicly disintegrated the entire carpet (that toxic, toxic, carpet)
fuckin hell, so now I gotta rip those out again, and the are BIG, the roots are thicker than my fingers already, that tree LIKES the amended compost for sure.

yea luckily the radiation and isotopes are at their half lifes, and it's just mutating everything now.
I got to get another digital camera, mine totally took a shit.
pure awesome fluffy black gold it is.
so much so that the redwood roots are going insane.
I gotta bag it up, or transfer it to a big smart pot or something.
next autumn I am laying down cement.

Oh hell, I found a piece of carpet in my compost mix also!!! I am so fucked... I have a friend that does a little contract work and mows the grass at buisnesses and I get a little trash when he brings me clippings.

I got that Geobin in the mail and I have a few bags of leaves at the ready position. Should I layer it with leaves, grass, and manure?

I am going to spot fill my yard also, get a nice lawn. I saw sand burrs "stickers" starting to grow. I dont see them in the whole yard just by the road where the lawn is not so great. I heard a good lawn chokes out sticker plants?

Nah, I wouldn't add any nitrogen/greens to that, i'd just add leaves, and maybe kelp meal.
probably wouldn't hurt to sprinkle some minerals too, basalt, granite, SRP, just not azomite considering it's gonne be re-used

What does a person really do with all of that manure??? Fuck, my nephew wants to go and get more because I pay my help well. He said that there is 3-4x as much still left at the warehouse.
