:leaf:Im using floranova nutes with big bud, floralicious, and sweet. Just started Cal mag today. This problem im having happens at flowering stage every time. The leaves look to be calcium or phosphorus or even heat stress, even nute burn! But wich one?? 600w hps, 5.5-6 ph,feeding for 15 minutes 4 times a day. any suggestions as to why my leaves look like this?
THANKS IN ADVANCE!

Ive never grown it but Ive smoked some and am considering getting some. How can I get this strain, is it cut only? Or can I get seeds?

honestly to me it looks like a calcium defeciancy with the lightining of the leaves in that blotchey pattern, small heat stress with the upturned sides on the leaves, and also too much of some of the nutes from the large tip burn, oh and i try to never let the PH go below 5.8 in my buckets.
next time, start cal mag earlier before starting flowering and raise lights a little and try and shoot for 5.8 to 6.2 and go a littler easier on the ferts to avoid the tip burn thats more than just the tip.
Hope this helps a little!
But in all they look healthy and i would say you dont have much to worry about :) good job!

Ya know I came on here to see your herb and then found you having a similar problem to mine with connoisseur and bud candy.... Same shit happens 3 weeks into flower... Thought it was calcium too and I quit using cal mag because of all the nitrogen in there, so I went to just using calcium sulphate... I ran no higher than 350 on the meter this flower and mostly at around 150-200... The tips are still burnt and it is up on the bud... I honestly think it's salt build up in my rootzone since my drain is on slow gravity and you are in rockwool which I would never in my life use because of how much salt it holds... But the last thing I will say is that this only happens to me in flower... Would definitely like to hear some real knowledge on this topic as well... And your herb does look good!

It's toxic salt build up. Flush your plants with clearex for 2 hours, then resume normal feeding. This is something you should do every few weeks.

Thought so.... So clearex works well huh... Gonna give that a shot... I clean and change my rez's every 10 days and run just RO for at least 24hours but I cannot clean my tubes unroll end of grow, so if this clearex actually does the trick, appreciate the advice

I run clearex at a rate of 10mls/gallon. Mix it up in your res and take a TDS reading. Allow it to run for 2 hours and take another TDS reading of your res. I think you'll be surprised how much salt it leaches from your medium. Your plants look real nice, by the way.

Do you just add to Rez or flush and add just RO and clearex? When I flush every tenth day I usually run just ro and my meter will read 20ppm the whole time, so I don't pick up any residuals with just a flush... If the clearex is my simple fix I will be stoked... Help is fully appreciated

Some Yellowing is normal during flowering. I don't think yours is excessive for the 5th week.

Do you have some drying tips...yeah a little...not a big deal at all imo.

Either way I think your grow is fine.

Next res change---just reverse flush it with a few gallons Ph adjusted water.

The less chemicals you use the better.

You won't leach as many salts with plain water. It sounds like you have good practices, maybe start out with a quart of clearex to see if you like the product. I completely drain my res, fill with tap water and clearex at 10mls/gallon, then run for 2 hours. I'll usually pull out a few hundred ppms of salts depending on what nutrient I'm using.

Cool, I'll just add it to the rez since I am only running 1bout 90 in the 6 week right now and was gonna flush it tomorrow anyway, so will run a clearex bath and then do a full flush tomorrow as planned.... I have already gotten pretty significant burn on certain plants in room that is 6 so it will not do much now but clean it and hopefully they keep up resin production if this works... I am coming up on 3 weeks in a few days on other room and it is just starting to show the signs of burn, so I will do a bath of clearex on it now as well and it will be the true test of whether or not this clears me up... Thank you again for the help... I will never get to the point where I don't need it anymore You earned this rep for sure if your diagnosis ends up being what was the cause

This is from my current grow. Im on my 7th week of flowering (Belladonna--8 week harvest but I will harvest in about 10 weeks; after 2 weeks of water only). Im using T5's and a flood bed, plus my plant is super cropped. Im using Lucas' Formula (GH)

See how the big primary palm leaves are turning yellow and will eventually purple That's totally cool. I have some tips with slight burn--but that always happens during flowering. I suppose I could cut back the nutes.....but during this Final dash to the finish line? Remember Im on my last nute Res, when I change my water next--it will be water only. So no way am I cutting back nutes. I'd rather give them a little too much, than a little too little. I mean the plant is using up every last bit of juice to produce flowers/ THC right now. I couldn't really care less about those primary leaves. They got us to this point--they did their job.

If this was happening during Veg?.....Yeah I'd Flip out.

Now you want to talk salt build up---this is from my first grow (as seen in my GJ)
004 (17).jpg

That plant had some serious problems. My current grow does not. Plus my yield off that plant was not that dramatically different than the healthy one (I had only 2 females that first grow). My point is that I was having trouble with that plant from Veg (albeit self inflicted) it certainly didn't occur just overnight. I screwed up early in my grow....and fought with the problem right up til harvest.

So if you don't have this kind of visible problem.

You're in great shape.

PS thanks for the rep

Been running clearex for last hour and no addition to the TDS, so I find myself back at square 1, scratching my head on wonder

I'm not in rockwool yhis is not my thread... I grow in a vertical NFT octagon set up... I wrote on this thread that I was having same problem, thought you knew that when you replies, my bad... Anyway I have 23/7 meters in my rez's, so any change will show immediaty
