just felt like stopping thru letting all doubters know....its official ....KENS GRANDADDY PURP SEEDS ARE THE TRUTH....NO COLD TEMPS ...THESE STARTED TURNING AT 6 WEEKS OF FLOWER...TEMPS WERE 80-82 DAY TIME 69 -74 AT NIGHT...MIRACLE GROW 2 WEEK VEG 600 HPS...Y WEEK 9 FLOWER THIS WAS OUTCOME ..THE 2 GREEN ONES YOU SEE ARE LEMON KUSH...CANT WAIT TO SMOKE THOSE CAUSE IVE NEVER HAD LEMON KUSH...AND ITS CRAZY MOSTLY ALL THE LEMON KUSH TURNED PURPLE OR A STRAWBERRY LOOKING COLOR DEEP IN THE LOWER BUDS.....BUT ANYWAY TO SOME IT UP....ITS A LIE TO SAY GRANDADDY PURP ONLY COMES IN CLONE!!!!!

whatever dude.....common sense .....how did you get a plant that didnt come from seed!??? its kinda like you guys are saying a mysterious gdp plant just grew someone found it and kept cloning it for many years years to come........(daniel son)......lmmfao!!!hahahahahahahaha!!!

Kens original story was that some Indians on a reservation gave him some seeds and one plant out of these seeds was the GDP phenotype.If there was a male from the same line to cross that female phenotype to it would have to have been worked down the line to lock in the desireables.

True GDP is clone only.

Just because a plant turns purple and is labeled GDP doesn't make it legit GDP.

It's more than likely an S1 or hybrid.

I had always thought the clone only gdp was a pheno of a clone only urkleXbig Bud
I just got done reading some stuff.
I guess the original gdp i got in the bay area around 2002, if i remember correctly, just might have been ken's. Cool

One plant in those seeds showed the phenotypic trait Ken and the indians/Native Americans dubbed GDP...So Ken revegged or took cuttings to keep a mom/moms...hence clone only.

Read up on breeding buddy.

There is a huge difference between breeding and pollen chucking!

Do you understand what a phenotype is and how it differs from a strain?

When they say something is clone only that is because you could have the exact same genetic makeup and come up with a completely different phenotype. For example, if you have a brother with the same parents, you may be very similar, but you could be a foot taller or 100 lbs heavier (or have you ever seen two sisters with the same parents and one is extremely attractive while the other is extremely unattractive??)

So even though you find the same parents as the original clone only "GDP" you would possibly have to go through many, many seeds to find a plant with similar characteristics. Hope that clears things up for you.
