Grabbing clones post 12/12 flip

So this is the deal, I flipped 12/12 - 2 days ago, I had 5 clones(for sure ladies) and 6 Mysterio plants from seeds unknown, good seeds just my buddy blanked on what they were. Anyway I just checked on them and one of them, the clear leader since breaking ground(always way bigger) has clearly shown she's a lady. So my question is, can I grab a couple of clones and put them under 24/0 with the other clones, will her little ones revert back to vegging or is it too late......

She's the only one showing sex signs and who knows might just turn out to be super smoke, I'd like the chance to keep the line going......

It will revert it will take a couple of weks for your previous flowering plant to get acclimated to the reversion.

That's the thing I don't want to revert the whole plant, I want to grab a clones from her and put those to 24/0. I had already grabbed some clones from the others prior to the flip but didn't grab from her because I thought she was a he with the way she was growing.

It's done, I grabbed a couple of clones. I guess I'll see in a couple of weeks if they'll revert or not, in retrospect I over thought the whole deal, if it works I continue the bloodline if it doesn't she ends up with a couple less buds.....

I did this with a grow that I wasn't planning to clone, but decided (after at least a week of 12/12) that I should at least try it.
The only survivor did "just ok" as a mother. I ended up flowering her and got a really low yield. But I took clones off her and the next generation is really great, as good as their grandmother, which was epic.

I think Jorge goes into some detail on this phenomenon, and I think it boils down to "hormones."

i always take clones 2 weeks into flower, the reveg leaves look abit funny but they go back to normal in no time.

i just took 19 clones from my plants that were 2 weeks into flower, as of last night, 17 are already showing roots through cubes. thats 12 days from cutting. def doable.

I have taken clones as late as 6 weeks of flower...the longer they have been in flower the longer it takes for the clone to begin growing noticeably again. So that is the only reason it is better to take a clone in veg...but you can take one in flower with no issue...they root just as fast...it just takes them longer to grow..

update, the clones that were taken from flowering mothers at 2 weeks are lagging far behind the clones cut from a vegging mother. not worth the time to wait for it to revert imo

its not worth the time to wait unless its the only option at keeping the strain alive.

Just what I was about to say, and perhaps what I hinted at earlier in this post, but it is way slower...which is why people are urged to do it in veg...but sometimes time gets away from us. Lol...it is never too late, but how long are you willing to wait?
