GM is set to pass Toyota as the worlds largest automaker.

CNNMoney notes that this is, at least in part, because of the Earthquake and Tsunami disasters in Japan hurting Toyota sales - but they also say this:
[GM] is the leader in the two largest markets for auto sales, China and the United States, and it is gaining market share in both markets. Those two markets are also enjoying rising industrywide sales.

Good comparisions no parts makes it fair. LMFAO
Are you fucking stupid? The fact that they were even competing for first place is a testament to their recent success.

I mean, I'll try to use an example you might understand... Imagine there are 5 laps to go in a NASCAR race and the guy in first place crashes. The guy who was in second ends up winning. Sure, the second car only won because the first guy crashed but he still beat the rest of the competition.

Besides, GM would have passed Toyota anyway:

Where in life is the guarantee of fairness?

Business is not figure skating and judged on style points. The bottom line is that GM is succeeding, I find it funny that people on the right want to see GM and the American auto industry fail because of the bailouts. So you would rather see a Japanese company beat out American companies?

You'd rather GM fail, 1,000's of Americans lose their jobs, associated American business fail than to have an Obama policy be right? How Patriotic of you.

notice how he didn't say their top priority was to create jobs, repair the economy, improve health care, invest in renewable and sustainable energy, take care of the troops and get them home?

they will do whatever it takes to make sure america fails on obama's watch. sad and pathetic.

suppose gm fails. then not only are those thousands of people at gm out of a job, but all the industries that depend on gm, from parts manufacturers to distributors to truck drivers, are all out of a job too. then we get to pay them unemployment and food stamps until they get new work (if they get new work), equaling a greater net loss.

that is indeed an interesting way of looking at things from whatever band of the spectrum you come from.

And don't forget, the GOP's Presidential Candidate is going to be Mitt Romney who has clearly stated he would not have bailed out GM and would have let them suffer. Can you imagine how bad the economy would be today had Romney let the American Auto Industry collapse. Scary.

It was a failure of the American way of life. What a way to stifle real competition by saving a falling giant and giving them a second chance. What if the next guy in line had a car design that would get 500mpg and could be built cheaper than GM, but because GM is still in it they can't get the parts manufacturers to do the work for them because GM will pay more and give them more guaranteed work? You don't consider these events, now do you? Again, the cost of unintended consequences. You'd better hope that a CEO who had a failing business that went bankrupt, saved by a 38 billion dollar bailout had better be able to turn a profitable company, come one. If he didn't, he should be shot for being a blithering idiot.

Actually you're full of shit. Romney call for a "managed Bankruptcy". This is what the Obama administration went with. Romney was right. GM and Chrysler originally wanted 150 billion in loans. Romney said that was outragous, what they needed was a "Managed bankruptcy", which is what the Obama admin did. How stupid are you? Look it up.

I live in Michigan. I'm more pissed at the number of suppliers in other states that got fucked over, at the expense of the UAW getting 89% ownership of GM. The "handyfuck" the American people got at the expense of the payback Obongo gave the Union workers for being a loyal voting block

Wow! WOW! I love cars too. Hmmmm what to say... oh ! GM motors is based out of Detroit Michigan. Have any of you been there? Pretty abandoned and crappy in many places, should provide interesting times for smoking weed outside in broad daylight, and then getting abducted or just straight up murdered on the spot! I don't know what the big problem with GM is. I live in south america and we have "GM" cars here, but they are not ANYTHING like the models offered up in USA. Here we have some shitty chevys that look exactly like chinese cars, but with the chevy emblem on them. Have any of you guys bothered to leave your pampered country and go see some poor ones? In colombia for instance, we have Chevy Spark, Chevy Epica, all are tiny cars. We DO NOT have chevy malibu, chevy camaro, not one chevy family van. Go check out more world economics before thinking that the only face of GM is in America, they have business elsewhere too. Peace

Here you go homies! Another turdlet of real facts.
Chevrolet Epica Cars - Chevrolet 29418 visitas 365

That non english stuff says, Chevy Epica is developed by GM motors and Commercialized under Daewoo, Chevrolet and Holden. So GM appears to be fighting their own demise by partnering up with the Non-Americans!!! hahaha evil axis of power, how does that revenue help people back in the USA?

Got any evidence that GM is overproducing? Their sales are on a pretty stready upwards swing ATM, surely that wont go on forever - but who says they're just building cars indefinantly?

4 stars! Looks like GM's cars aren't so unpopular? OK, so you are pointing out that GM uses non-American workers as well - so? Doesn't almost every multi-national? If you dont like free trade than I dont know what to tell you - because it's not going anywhere anytime soon.

Didn't Toyota shut down ALL of their N American Factories? If you stop producing things can you then go on to produce things?

Does GM produce Cars in China using American Workers?
