Thank you! The tiger maple grips were finished with Dupli-Color lacquer which I wet-sanded and rubbed-out, the cocobolo grips are only finished with a little oil from my skin, and the rest are tung oil.

I still kick myself for not picking up an m1 garand back when big5 used to get them. Love me some m1 action.
I finally found an outfit that says they can repair/reseal an antique Kahlies scope that is set in (soldered on) Q/D claw mounts on a custom built rifle from Vienna. I've been very hesitant to ship it anywhere as it is literally irreplaceable. Dude promises to bring it back to factory specs within only a couple of months for $250.
I'm all over it after reading his reviews.
