Just changed out the 4 20+ watters for 3 40 watters, put 3-liter bottle of ice in the corner by the oscillating fan..so we'll see if this helps. Just checked on the EJ and she has popped showing a nice taproot. Other than that..gave the skunk seedling a little bit of water..still looking very healthy, got a gallon of water filled up and sitting out now...looking for my aquarium pump as well.

Going to try and get some sort of pictures up here today.

OOPS...may have overwatered. Either that or slight stress from the low humidity. Right now the temp is 72F and 28% humidity. The 3 liter helped...slightly, I was sitting at 20% humidity. But regardless growth was stopped/slowed. Letting the soil dry out almost all the way before I water again. She's starting to come back, the leaves have "uncupped".

Still working on a way to get pictures, tried using my old phone but then my computer wouldn't pick it up.

Other than that, no sign of the EJ being above ground.

The EJ has made her way through the soil, and the Skunk has a new set of leaves, also soil is almost bone dry, I expect to water thoroughly tonight. Thought it was overwatering that caused the leaves to start cupping under, and I think I hit that nail right on its head. Leaves have straightened out and growth is picking up.

Oh, I also added 3/4 of a tbsp. of Happy Frog All-Purpose (5-5-5) to the Skunk.

Noticed I never mentioned anything about my pH either. I use pH up & down from Petsmart, and for testers, just those simple pond test strips/soil test kit I got from Lowes. Not high quality shit, gets the job done pretty well IMO though. Haven't had a pH problem since buying this after my first pH issue, ever, with the last grow.

Just ran out of the last of my distilled so my tap is gonna test really HIGH if I remember right. Soil pH is around 6.0 so I usually try and keep my water around 6.5ish. Going to do a thorough watering tonight because I didn't do it a couple days ago.

I forgot to mention that I started a BUKU at first to run with the Skunk but, as some are seeing, BUKU isn't that reliable. The seed was horrible, when it popped the taproot split the whole side..then it like prematurely grew or something.. then it rotted out. I'm not the best grower out there but I am about 98% on my germination, this one was weird.

If anyone has grown the Emerald Jack out, how much after the flip does she stretch?

A bulb was added over the skunk making it a total of 5 - 40 watt bulbs. Also watered the skunk with a half gallon to thoroughly soak the soil since it hadn't been done since before the seed was planted. Considering topping the skunk so that the EJ can catch up a bit before the switch. Was going to flip somewhere around day 15-18 but the bad BUKU seed kinda threw me off.

Temps are reaching 79F before the bulb was added so I'm a bit concerned about that ATM. Will be watching that closely.

Temps stayed at 79 through the night, last night, even after adding the 5th bulb so we're in decent shape. My aim is 8 bulbs total. Gotta get more Y-splitters, thought I had more but can only find 3. Unemployed atm, trying to get a job before the switch so I know when the best time is for lights on.

I'll probably get some more pictures up tomorrow night, new growth starting just want it to be more visible for the pictures.

Topping is something I have yet to try, want to do it with the skunk so that the EJ can have more veg time. Is it too early based on the pictures last posted?

Holy crap! 82F during the day with the poly curtain closed and the door, and I haven't added any more bulbs. So this tells me it will definitely be ran during the night for flowering.

If anyone can help me out with the whole fimming/topping thing, that would be great. I read Uncle Ben's thread on it but I just think I confused myself, I over think things.

First set of leaves are showing some discoloration on the Skunk, I'll be watching that closely. Probably going to trade off from a 24/0 schedule to a 20/4 schedule for the remainder of veg starting tonight or tomorrow. New growth is coming in pretty slowly. Going to pull out my soil test kit and hopefully I'll be able to check the pH of my soil. More pictures to come tonight.

No real problem concerning the single bladed leaves on the Skunk. She'll be getting some water tomorrow. Going to be topping her within the next day or two, I'll just have to try it since I didn't get a simplified explanation...but I think I get it now anyway.

As for the EJ, she got thoroughly watered for the first time since before planting, allowing the drained water to sit and get soaked up by the soil, as I did for the Skunk. The EJ will get hit with some All-Purpose on her next watering.

Temps dropped to 77F/day and 68F/night since adding a 4" desktop fan to help draw in cool air from the room, as well as cracking a window to allow more cold/fresh air into the room. Humidity is also at a record low for this grow at 16%. I have turned off the oscillating fan for the night, just have the 4" fan barely holding the curtain open and blowing between the containers.

OH, I also made changes to my light fixture, will get pictures of the fixture and plants tomorrow when I get up. Need to light proof the gallon jugs I'm growing in as well.
