Good soil/perlite/vermiculite ratio?

If there is coco coir in that soil, that is also aeration. 10-20% perlite is fine, I personally wouldn't use anymore than that. What you described will be fine; perlite just doesn't really have any cation exchange capacity whereas vermiculite does.

I often wondered if the aluminum in vermiculite would ever be readily absorbed?
Perhaps akin to azomite, under really acidic conditions?
Reason I say that is I LOVE vermiculite, but I compost my stuff, so the acidity gets rather extreme during the composting, not to mention the abundance of fulvic and humic acids, that are know to break down aluminum.
If I recall, vermiculite is probably the BEST at CEC

I ended up using miricale grow organic potting soil, perlite, organic dry ferterlizer and dolomite lime.
