Good luck getting a job with your medical marijuana cards!!!

This is bullshit really!! I go for a interview, they ask me all the questions sounded like i got the job. They wanted me to do a drug test. I told them there isnt no way I would pass I told them I had my MMC. I told her she can look for all the other drugs that are out there but for as far as thc there might be a problem. She didnt even want me to pee in the cup no more like they was just looking for marijuana. Kinda pissed me off really, like marijuana is honestly that bad you cant even OD on it. Yon might pass out and go to sleep, puke if you eat to much I guess I was never into eating it so I dont know really. This card is a curse in a way the only thing its good for is the cops. I then call my doctor to see if I couldnt get a script for merinol NOT A CHANCE.... I know now to keep my mouth shut until after the test is over because you still might pass the test. Then after the test tell them. But she kinda threw me off. I was thinking I didnt even study for that test.(my son didnt piss in the cup for me). I just hope this card starts to pay off soon.......

bad mistake chief. the mma doesn't protect you from being discriminated against by a private sector employer. get yourself a piss test kit for your next interview.

It sucks though, if he had said nothing they would of failed him anyways. sorry to hear about it anyways. Maybe we should get a list going of places that will not support our medical right, nothing too detailed just a company name.

you shouldnt have said a word because marijuana is prescribed to you just like a antibiotic,a pain killer, ect. ect.... You should have waited until the test came back, and if you didnt hear from them, called to see why, If they tell you you failed the pee test with marijuana, Threten to sue the piss out of them for discrimination....Im surprised nobody has tried to bring a lawsuit against an employer for discrimination for non employment over a legal prescription like marijuana.. Then again, The federal Illegalality of it probably would screw the whole case....

Your right I shouldnt have this was my first time being asked I had no clue. But they lady had cup in had with test kit. And I know for a fact I would have droped dirty this way I still never tested positive for drugs. That looks worse to me I think then telling them I have my card. It still sucks that you have to chose your medication over a job. People who get a script for other hard core drugs can get jobs, people act like marijuana is killing millions of people. I cant even find where it has even killed one person from a over dose. I know I dont have to preatch to you guys. Its sad.... I wake up every morning with the worst pain in my knee, and i cant take any pills they make me sick. They should be happy I aint taking Vicodin, I can still function 100% smoking pot if not better I pay more attention to detail. Quite frustrating!!

Some people are so dumb read the fucking laws, it says no employer is required to hire or continue employment if you fail a drug test with your card. Believe me i know, today after four months clean looking for a job finally have an interview for the morning of 420, sweet right, be able to get the piss test and smoke for 420, NOPE, the lady calls an hour before the interview and says she has to reschedule for next week. BOOM ruined my 420 and this will be the first one without smoking in 12 years. I suggest you read the laws before you think your scott free just cause of a card it don't mean shit except you can have it, drive a car smelling like dope your still screwed. Well funny you should say that, a cop stopped me smelled pot asked if I was smoking told him I smoked im my car about a hour ago(because you cant smoke in public) looked at my bag my card gave them both back and let me go. So it works for the cops...... It still is no different then popping a few pills the Dr. gave you a script for and dropping dirty. No different! You might wanna lighten up a little m8 maybe get some pills for your anger problem. No offense! I do know the rules and laws. It still discrimination and they cant! also they cant hold a heath problem against you that is also against the laws so read yours.

Funny... know this guy that talked about his genital warts at an interview (the truth)... funny, he got discriminated against too! We should file a class action... this whole discrimination thing is getting outta hand... i tell ya...

i completely agree that is retarded that they won't hire for a thc showing up on a ua, but its really up to their discretion.. they could not hire for whatever reason they want.. you can think otherwise with all of the eoe and what not, but do you really think companies won't not hire some one cuz they don't like the color of their skin, or their sex, or the fact that they smoke weed, with a card or not??
but saying all of this, i think you did the right thing not taking the test.. but why on earth don't you go out and get yourself some synthetic urine like quick fix, and if it's going to be monitored, get a whizzinator as well.. this way, you can be smoking a joint while your pissing in the cup and still pass the damn thing.. i've used quick fix, and so long as you get it in the right temperature range, it works incredibly well.. they even come with hand warmers and a temp strip so that you know your golden, pun intended of course..
now, is this really the way things should work? or course not, but why should anyone be denied a job for smoking the ganja?? they shouldn't..

even thou most cops are cool with it around many parts of michigan and they take hands off approach to cardholders generally, It is not wise to admit to a cop or an employer that you smoke or have smoked marijuana, especially not smart to admit you smoked only an hour ago and are now driving around.. Your a true patriot and kind of a martyr of sorts for the rest of us, but just looking out for you bro you might get in trouble if you keep going around spouting yer mouth like this. I hope you dont grow and act like this.

There isnt nothing we are going to be able to until the guy that got fired from walmart for his brain tumor and he smokes marijuana for kemo. He has to be the guni pig.(there are many others) I taked to a lawyer he said they are waiting on that. Then he will take cases. Because that's the GRAY area.... At my place of employment it is up to our discretion. We have potential employees sign a waiver, if they drop dirty, they pay for the drug screen and we test for everything. If there is an on the job injury or safety issue, drug test. That is how it is where I work. I have hired people that tested positive for THC, if that is all that shows up. We are up front and fair about it.

dude the lady had the piss cup in her had right there I would have failed no matter what. And the cop smelled the marijuana you dont wanna play a cop for a fool because im sure he knows what marijuana smells like. As far as driving, you can take pain pills it says use caution when driving. I use caution every time I drive so I guess thats another GRAY area. I know where it tells you in the marijuana law, you cant drive and smoke. But I wasnt driving and smoking at the same time. That was the second time that card saved me from going to jail. And people who lie to the cops are the ones who get in trouble, I mean we act like they are stupid and hate them but really they do understand. I guess I live in a small town where cops here are almost family. They are friendly and just dont lie unless you killed someone. I just dont see what the big deal is with marijuana for real its the lowest safest drug out there with more benefits then not. Shit in florida I was waiting on a dime bag on the corner in my car with out of town tags, cop rolls up what are you doing here? I said looking for hookers..... He said no your not they are over there on this road... So then I tell him the truth I am looking for marijuana, he said now that I beleave. Told me that I could get robbed here and escorted us out. Again in florida we are eating at a park cops roll up for no reason search the car see 60$ in cash on the dash, and a bud under the cash. put the bud on the money and told us this was a bad area for us to be in. I just had pretty good luck telling the truth instead of lieing. I have got in far more trouble being a lair about it then just straight up telling the truth. And ya I do grow I got 2 plants out of 12 locked in a room all legal to have in michigan. If someone wants to come steal them you might get shot or eaten by my dog that is always in my house.
