I was going to mention the lack of soil problem but doublejj beat me to it. While I don't agree with the addition of any kind of reflective material in a outdoor grow the lack of soil in the pot will be a issue in the future. I would go ahead and transplant now while it is in the vegetative stage in to a larger container and place the plant at the same level it was originally. Planting in a good soil medium such as Ocean Forest or Happy Frog will also keep you from having to add additonal ferts. for some time (several weeks) until the nutrients are exhausted.
