"Good/Bad" "Love/Hate"

Lets examine this dynamic

Can one exist without the other? Can you really understand what good is without knowing what bad is? Can you love someone without hating someone?

I've heard this used as a justification for the whole "Heaven/Hell" aspect of Christianity, but have never really been given a satisfactory explanation for why..

one mans hate is differential to another mans hate.

Bad example but I digress : A man hates a black man due to skin colour another man hates Brussel sprouts due to taste... hate is relative so I would say that you can love without the experience of hate
