good amsterdam strains

Hey, I'm traveling to amsterdam fairly soon, wondering if anyone has reviews of different strains available that are usually good. Are there some strains that are usually great, or will my mileage vary a lot depending on the shop, grower, etc.

I was in Amsterdam in June, and my personal favorites are G13 Haze from Barney's, Hawaiin Snow from Greenhouse, Arjan's Ultra Haze #1 from Greenhouse, Blueberry Ice hash from Noon, and Northern Lights x Haze from Kadinsky. My top three coffeeshops in order are Greenhouse, Barney's and De Rokerij (there are a few but I'm talking about the one with the cool dug out lights and buddhas on the left wall). I would also highly reccomend going to a coffeeshop called Abraxas, theres a comfortable couch area and good music and its my favorite coffeeshop there. Make sure to check out the cannabis college also, that was cool. Have a great time.

I'm really considering going there, but during a cannabis cup. I want to be a judge, but I think the next cannabis cup is too soon (november 23-27) for me to pool all the extra money to pay for the trip. That and I want a friend to go with me, it's probably too soon for most of them too.

Thanks man, it's hard to find any good reviews on this sort of thing online. Although I did see some pics of Abraxas and heard they had a glass floor? That's definitely sick. Rep for you

Its been a few years since I was in Amsterdam, however I went to try one strain in particular and boy o boy did it not disappoint. I'm not sure which coffee shops will have it in when your there however You HAVE to try NYC Diesel. Such fond memories of that bud, it was such a fantastic taste and such a stone. It took me and my buddy a good hour to wander back to our hostel that was only a good 10 - 15 min from the coffee shop.

Have fun !!

hey was in the dam in june.favorites were orange haze from the mellow yellow, great roomy shop with a freindly stoned staff of good kids, sister shop is the noon.. i loved the temple ball from stixx. the chocolope from grey area was great, took me back to under the bleachers at the high school homecoming game.old skool taste with a cannaloppy aftertaste. great old skool high. the super silver haze from the mellow yellow and 420 cafe de kuil, were great. barneys weed was overpriced and over rated.. tweede de kammer/ de dampkring has great weed it is all grown and cured proper and resonably priced..check out the riffman dunya hash.. the green place in new market has been gaining a good rep for great weed.. tried there train wreck it was just that... gheck out thesmokersguide.com great guys good info

i have started sterring clear of the barneys empire there seems to be some monopolizing and unfriendly buss. practices goin on.. not to mention the recent trend with the higher prices, really made me seek out the great shops that offerd good weed at resonable prices... steer clear of bulldogs, grasshoppers,la canna(was closed when i was there hope it stays that way)..have a great time and smoke uo one for me

Was in the Dam with my kids in March. Abraxas was one of my favorite shops. Picked up some incredible Silver Haze. If you're going to Amsterdam, spend one day, (or at least part of a day), in Haarlem. About a 15 minute train ride. There are some great coffee shops there too. In particular.....Willie Wortel's Sativa. It's right across the street from the train station. Good smokes and great people working there. And if you do get there, tell the gorgeous, long blond haired girl working the "bar" that Jeff says HI! :peace:

Did Willie's get shut down around the end of March? We stayed in Haarlem and that's where we began and ended each day. Stop there for the morning buzz, head to Amsterdam, get back at night and wrap it up with a good night buzz at Willies. The night before we had to leave, it was closed up....a sliding door locking us out :( And it was still closed the next day. We were going to have a quick smoke before heading to the airport. There was a hand made sign on the door but not written in English. I'm a 54 year old hippy at heart and had my kids with me, but I "fell in love" with the blonde behind the coffee bar in the back. I even gathered up the courage to ask if I could take her picture. I didn't expect her to say yes, so when she did.....well, lets just say I was flustered and took her picture with my cell phone instead of my camera. And I never did ask what her name is. Age wise, she would be more "appropriate" for one of my sons. For me.....I picture myself in Kevin Spacey''s character in "American Beauty"....lol Thanks for the info on Willies. I Shall Return! :peace:

it was march or april i was pissed because sativa was my favorite spot to chill.. we loved harlem.... indica was ok..but the workshop was filled with teens.. i was happy that they had a spot as awesome as ww workshop and was quite jealous...man if i would have had a good environment to get high when i was younger i really think things would have been different....

Will the 12 steps work if I use sandalwood instead of patchouli?...lol We really liked the Sativa shop too. Like I said, we started and ended each day there. There was one place in Haarlem......I'm spacing on the name of the shop right now. But we were treated quite rudely. I asked for their best Indica. She looked at me and asked what I meant. I explained the Indica/Sativa and she said she had no clue what I was talking about. She said we only sell homegrown. Then I asked if they had a bong we could use and she didn't know what I meant, (She was screwing with me perhaps). If I ever get back there, I will stay in Haarlem again. Loved it.

I'll have to go through my diary of the trip and get the name of the joint I was talking about. Peace!

try the apartments above ww sativa or i think the place above ww indica rents to sativa is like 75 euro i think... yeah that girl was probably messin with ya i have been to the dam several times and the first couple times i would catch people messin with me but i was in shock and awe stoned and an easy target to be the butt of alot of dutch yongsters jokes but after that i started acclimating myself and finding the nice chill places..now i hardly ever catch anybody mixing wideass in a sneeze anymore..the dutch are cynical jackasses by nature, but i love all my friends from holland

Anything from the Grey Area is quality, was just there in June some of the best bud I smoked was from there. Its a small place but man the bud is something else. Try the Lemon Skunk and the Cannalope Haze.

Also there was a new Dampkring just opened when we were there we got tired the Super Silver Haze was great its very close to Barneys breakfast bar.

Have a good one mate
