Good advice on ROT gets +rep

Here's my dilema its making me sick I discovered this morn that 1 of my buds have rot so I pulled out the leaf which I shouldn't of done bc I shoulda used scissors but that's to late my real question is when I get home I'm gunna chop that bud n toss it... its supposed to rain every day this week n b humid I'm 3 weeks from harvest do I cut now n get what I can? Also if I cut it and bring it inside to dry can I still get rot ? Also I would have to chop in the rain how do I go about doing this?

Even with the high humidity it should be okay (the rest) if you are able to build a make shift tent (tarp and some long sticks).

If not you may want to chop soon. I'd bring a water proof bag of some sort to put the buds in. I'd clip each branch and stick it in the bag. Then tote back and dry for a couple hours with a light fan on them rotating the buds so they get all the water off of them then continue to cure as normal.
