Same here. Had a few gnats the first round, but haven't seen any since. Funny thing is it's been like 7 cycles for me too. I didn't buy them separately though. All my predators came from EWC or vermicompost.
All the springtails came from my worm bins, and I find their larvae is useful for keeping the mites happy and fed. Cycle 1 is always the most problematic as it takes time for the ecology to balance out, not to mention getting the nutrient cycling going. But once things are relatively balanced, the system runs itself which is why I love this grow style so much!

My springtails came from BAS's vermicompost. I don't have a dedicated worm bin yet. I do have worms in all my pots though. And ya, I love this style too.

BioLift or Gnatrol, much more potent than dunks or bits which I used before Gnatrol.
These will end your gnat problem fast.
